James Cameron's Avatar (Dec. 18th)

it’s funny because cameron has made a world, a universe even. it’s kind of pointless complaing about it being dances of wolves etc because he has created a lot of depth to it all that isn’t available in the theatrical release

the thing is even if he doesn’t make avatar 2 about the na’vi at all it’s still a valid medium because he really has created something that goes beyond what you’ve just seen. personally I do think that seeing another 3 hours of the na’vi planet will be quite boring, I don’t think he will anyway because he probably will explain all he needs to explain in the 3D DVD release.

Has anyone covered how Michelle Rodriguez’s character could still breathe even after her cockpit got shot up?

Edit: Also I don’t understand people who depress over not being able to live on Pandora. That looks like a horrible place to live! Fucking dangerous as all fuck! And no wifi!

I know right? I’d like to go on a tour sometimes though. But as soon as the tourist airship starts getting attacking by giant fucking dragons, GGPO Pandora, I’m gone

not dangerous is you are a 10 foot tall blue monster, with almost unbreakable bones, crazy ass agility/strength and the ability to “possess” almost any creature on the planet

No yourporn=no deal.

I thought that you could breath on there just not for very long. there’s been jake and the science woman out in pandora without breathing equipment, theres also been those soldiers. yeah maybe one mistake but even that one mistake is stretching it. this isn’t a student film

What was the problem with the air exactly? No oxygen or was it poisonous?

Who the heck needs WiFi when you have a built-in USB port on your head that can connect to an entire forest!

not enough oxygen, heavy in CO2 i think? basically the mixture of gases made it impossible for humans to breathe. no oxygen = no breathing = brain damage.

as for why she could still breathe when her cockpit was shot up: i think it’s safe to say that all military equipment has a kind of life support system so you can breathe in the cockpit without a mask. well the holes weren’t very large and they werent at an insane altitude as to make all the air immediately rush out. kinda like on a winter day when you roll down your window a bit after the cars too warm. all the heat doesn’t leave the moment you crack the window, it takes at least 10 seconds for you to even feel the cold. i think it’s the same with her copter. the holes were only there 10 maybe 20 seconds iirc so even if she didn’t hold her breath it’s still reasonable that she can breathe before getting blown to tits.

I was thinking that the air was too dense and thick with all the trees, floating continents and what not.

Seriously. Jake linked up to call the planet’s tech support for help. And on this planet they actually RESPOND! The humans got Antivirus’d shortly thereafter.

Hahaha no shit. I wish our tech support was even half as good.

Are we talking about when her cockpit got shot up when she was leaving the base, or when she was in war-paint mode?

Being a Navi would suck just like being a hunter gatherer on Earth sucks.

Nah man…

After we put the Aliens in Pandora…the humans should send TERMINATORS to Pandora to reconquer the planet (since Terminators don’t mind about that air crap and are expendable), and then we can have AVATAR VS. ALIEN VS. TERMINATOR.

Make it happen, Cameron! Bring in the MILLIONS! CHA-CHING!

Don’t forget, after all these impressive victories racked up by the Na’vi as well as Jakesully’s feats as a warrior, their fame will spread all across the galaxy, summoning the Predators to find worthy opponents in…

Pandora: Na’vi vs Predator

This seriously must be what a Fox board meeting sounds like.

lmao thing is though Predator Vs Navi silly as it sounds it exactly the type of challege a predator would take on.

Just saw an interview with Cameron talking about Halo, apparently there are a few dumbass Halo fanboys saying Cameron ripped off Bungie

predator vs na’vi? the na’vi aren’t destructive enough to interest the predators

After seeing them kick human ass I beg to differ
