I have mixed feelings about this movie. I really enjoyed the opening sequence. It was awesome, action packed and full of suspense and emotion. Then we got audio visual sex with Adele + the intro. The first 10 or 15 minutes of the movie(however long that actually took) were easily the most alluring cinematographic experience I’ve had all fucking year long. I’m thinking of going back to watch it mainly because of the opening.
Then it kind of dipped for me. Till Silva. Homie was a straight up G. I like how he shot that bitch straight in the head and won the bet. So fucking COLD. The whole time I was actually rooting for him, it’s kinda weird. The action scenes were good, but I felt saturated from the opening. I mean, come on, what could possibly top the emotional high you get from that opening sequence? A bit of a tall order the director set up for himself.
Ending was alright, it could have been better. Still, it was plenty emotional enough. I still wish Silva had won, that nigga was a badass.
