After a H.Sobat FADC Deejay is at +6using a delayed Cr.lk (5frame start up) a standing ryu is tripped up and a new combo begins.

In this case the natural ender: Cl.mk, cr.lp, cr.mp xx Hsobat would have dealt 149 damage (resets should aim to beat this number)
Compared to the brand new combo cr.lk, cl.lp, cr.lp, cr.mp xx H.sobat 204 damage

If ryu was crouching this reset would not work. But the natural ender would change to be: Cl.mk, Cl.mk, cr.mp xx Hsobat *179 damage (Always recommended on wider characters) **

Good to know something is possible, even if it isn’t immediately apparent in it’s use.

Most if not every instant overheads (in the game) are free punishes. But I’ve seen plenty of matches ended by vega’s instant overheads.

THAWK reversal u2 beats this.
But (if you planning to abusing)

This also works **jumping backwards **but I would recommend mixing it up with other mixups. Just because we have a 90dmg overhead doesn’t mean you should always go for it.
The punishes for the crossover and jump back ones are different, I think its more obvious but THAWK can punish the jump back one with U2 (most likely -not tested) were as the crossup one mess up his inputs (post hit).

Bonus is that some other players and I use a air to air knee hop and walk under the opponent to set up a combo (deejay has the 2nd fastest walk speed!)… I used to dash under in super but it looks so obvious
I usually use st MK because it looks like hard to catch. When they catch on, you can mix it up with stepping foward after you have crossed under them

I want to add that it is best to watch your opponent and prepare to crouch tech if they are dp… i don’t know how safe this is, but I’ve also used it after u1/u2

It’s not really safe, I’ve been hit out of it against some people who know it’s coming (Mostly dp characters). It’s a mixup but it gives you a great change to land a meaty close standing MK.
