Jaguar Crunch, c.lk = Most difficult one frame link I've come across

I’m not a pro by any means, but 1 framers typically don’t give me this much trouble. This Adon link on the other hand is just ruthless. I assume it’s because the amount of time that it takes between the button presses of the crunch to the c.lk.

Trial 24 is just nasty.

I did trial 24 easily. I just cant get 22 and 23, I dont know why.

It has been a while since I completed Adon’s trials, so I don’t accurately remember which one was giving me a problem, but it was likely 22. I remember I was near the end, and one was causing me headaches, and then I finished it and did the last few in just a couple minutes.

A two hit into a 1 frame is always really hard for me

Ryus dash punch to c.hp gives me just as much trouble

The overhead always seem to push them back far enough so that the kick will whiff…:sweat:

Just get really really close. Just walk towards them until he overlaps Dan.

Ive tried on like 2 separate occasions and can hardly even get crunch, c.lk. One time I actually did the whole fucking trial but hit mp super instead of hp. FML.

I just made sure that I was as close as possible to Dan in the corner then watch Adon’s movement after he does the overhead. He slide back and right when he is done sliding back is when you can hit the lk, I can get it pretty regularly now actually. The rest of the combo is pretty self explanatory.

What he said. You’ll notice adon goes from a forward crouch after the overhead, and quickly goes back on his haunches, like a jaguar :slight_smile: then you press LK and then into your cr.mp xx HP super.

I have my thumb on LK, index over MP and middle finger over HP. When I see Adon move back, I gently press LK and I can get it quite often. It’s almost as if it’s negative edging that input when I do it that way, could just be my imagination.

It was giving me trouble at first but like most links once you find that timing you won’t forget it. Press it a lot sooner then you think you should. Its just like Ryus trial with the overhead link, watch your characters animation closely, visual clues help a lot on this one.

omfg. Finally did it. Hour and 40 mins tonight, plus hours other nights… I think I was doing crunch to c.lk too fast… oh man. So over it…

Its easy. Slow down your inputs because your definately doing them too fast. and if your having trouble try putting Dan in the corner then doing overhead + cr.lk , cr.mp, lk JK. The second hit will hit so you can juggle with another lk . RJ and then cancel that into super.

Yeah, I can’t hit this either
usually I can tell by the animation
but for some reason this one is hard for me to read
but I plan to watch the sliding that was mentioned

Can you plink it or double-tap it?

Crouch and lk+lp doesn’t throw, so could you plink lk>lp?

It becomes much easier if you try and do the crunch meaty buring a get up. If just try to do it while they are ducking, it become much harder. At least for me.

Tried again last night. Can’t get the lk reliable yet.

Tried plinking lk~lp, and then mp~lp…buuuht not working right. I’ll be in training mode with the inputs on to make sure I’m doing it right. I’ll try to post a vid if I can get it.

does the jaguar crunch (on hit) change dan’s hitbox? most of the time when i do the crunch, adon’s foot slides through dan but if i wait & stay in the same spot the lk will connect. i attempt this in the corner

Crunch pushes them back, and you need to connect the LK before they recover (obviously).

In the corner, you get pushed back yourself, and while I’m sure it works in the corner, I did it mid-screen. Try away from the corner

I did it in like 5 tries last night, using a stick, not a pad. Here’s my inputs:

>mp {wait} / lk~lp mp~lp xx super

Sidenote: Crunch comboes with lk RJ. It’s tight, but not that hard.
