fun stuff yesterday! def learned some new DeeJay stuffs, looking forward to reworking some things out
WoW Jville representâin grats to those in the Top12! BTW how many people entered the tourny?
50
Good job to everyone from the JAX crew. I had a lot of fun and learned an incredible amount of stuff from Spek, Flash, Jeff, JT, and Jebailey (and the overall experience of playing in a good size tournament). CEO is hosting an event in Orlando in two weeks that I will be competing in (Oct. 24), so Iâll be in Jacksonville the 22nd and 23rd (Friday and Saturday) before heading out to that. Is anyone planning to attend?
i had to drop out cause the controller felt different than the joystick and the ps3 controller. But iâll try and get my stick modded. Def good to see the crowd. Where are the results, btw?
Can you direct me towards where the thread for the next CEO tournament will be at? I wanna hit that up⌠and I have a friend that wants to possibly go to it.
manâŚwhat a long weekend, but i canât complain. i def had a good time despite not making the money. i made top 8 though, so i canât complain.
i was able to send leland to losers and to be honest, that was my highlight of the tournament. every time i have faced him in a prior tournament, I lost to him. not this time though!
thanks to all the jax people that made it down and battled it out!
i will be in philly all next week, so no casuals until I return. I will post up details about the next casual session when i return.
a special shoutout to luke for making top 12. i told you to stick with abel, as he was your best character and you should def know that by now. we will grind out those bad matchups of yours and continue to level you up for sure!
Fuck yeah. This tournament definitely uplifted me to want to get even better so, that shits gonna happen. Also, shoutout to Jesse for gettin top 12 as well, and francis. We gotta get that deejay better man, it will happen.
Yeah that Abel was hotness.
shoutouts to flash takin everyoneâs money
Short and simple; canceling November Ender. Found a spot, had things planned out, but in the end Iâm not really anyone in this scene and canât really be trusted, so itâs better to just call it quits here. I do apologize for my past asshole spurts to those Iâve offended, but either way, yeah. Itâs not gonna happen. I will admit that yes, I did want to try to find a way into the scene via this shindig I wanted to host and get along with everyone, but in the end, I should just take it easy and go with the flow, lay low.
Uh, yeah. Thatâs all Iâd like to address. Hope everyoneâs doing well otherwise in performance. Iâve still some ways to go, as Iâve had to go on hiatus with the fighting game action. Iâve been more preoccupied with trying to get the event together and lost track of time with that. Anywho, thatâs the past.
Hereâs to a future of Jacksonvillains. Much love sent out from a wallflower.
EDIT SIDENOTE: You guys are playing Hokuto no Ken aka BOUNCING FOREVER?
wut up! iâm here from orlando 4 the nightâŚanywhere to get some games in? iâm by salisbury rd, business district
Wait what top 12?! Yo big up to Luke! I need to get some learning from you now!
Yo guys, random questionâis there any difference between having a fightpad set to emulating the D-pad and emulating the analog stick? Storm kinda taught me that charge characters might not really be my bag, and since itâs a square gate itâs a little hard for me to use with shoto-types. So Iâm thinking of switching to fightpad or anything thatâll give me a half-decent D-pad and six button layout so I can get all my shit to come out right when I want it to and still be able to plink.
Problem is, the MadCatz pad seems to suck NUTS. But I was considering that the way the game reads D-pad inputs might have some kind of AI built in for filling in gaps for sloppy/inaccurate execution (separate from the standard input shortcutsâI noticed something kinda similar in Alpha 3 Max PSP), and I was wondering if setting it to analog imitation would cut out any factors like that.
But seeing as how the Madcatz pad isnât great to begin with, does anyone 'round here know of any good controllers (preferably wired) with the six-button layout and a good D-pad? All I can think of is those official USB Saturn paddlesâbut that PSN patch might lock those out, and they wouldnât work on 360 anywayâŚ
you might want to look into those old school snes fight pads and get it modded http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3134&p=24197 that controller at the very top
IMO, Stick or fight pad, if I had it set to emulate left analog stick my inputs felt laggy versus d-pad.
Wassup guys. Just wanted to drop in and give you guys a big thanks for watching the stream and/or coming to the expcon tourney.
Also big thanks to spektrum for teaming up with me for commentary. Everyone on stream really enjoyed our comments. Weâll definitely have to team up again next event as well.

Yea man, for sure! I was talking with jay and a few others yesterday and they all loved our commentary.
Next event we should get together before hand and plan things out. Make it even better than the last one!
Sup jacksonville, new ssf4 player here. I live off old st augustine if anyone lives nearby, Iâm down to play practically any day of the week minus this weekend (smash tournament in ga )
Yea definitely. If youâre at CEO2011 youâre definitely my top pick for co-commentator. I was surpised how well we worked together for just meeting that day.
