yo final_cut,wut time u gonna be over at the place setting up shit? that way i can make it there at the same time and help u set shit up since im also bringing a tv and dreamcast and shit.
probably around 9:30 or so. basically I need to set up about 4 tables and TVs for everything. If you guys want to bring power strips, that would be awesome. maybe an extention cord or two also, I’ll have those as well.
cvs2 first. That game is going to take the longest.
we should have casuals going on while the others are going on. Theres only 20 or so for cvs2 right? just give them 3-4 tv’s for their tourney and give the rest for casuals.
I dont know how you have your schedule setup but you cant run multiple game tourneis at the same time. For the simple fact that some people play 2 games. They’ll be in a match for another game and then their other game comes up. Now they’re bouncing around between 2 games. Not only that but the people that were knocked out would probably want to see the finals. They wont want to play their next game until they see who wins. You just have them listed. Its hard to tell if your going to run 1 at a time or thats the order they’ll just be ran.
also there should be warmups before the tourney. If the doors open at 10, lets have warmups for an hour. No one wants to just jump into a tourney cold. Since we have the place till 8, theres no reason to rush right?
pkola is bringing some gear. Tv and DC. We’ll be there early as well to setup.
i’ll add a power strip and extension cord to the list then.
We have to have everything out of there before 8 is what they told me. Originally I was thinking of doing CVS2 first. Not counting who dropped out and who has yet to sign up, I have 14 people on my list for that game. Right now, the schedule is still up for debate, so we’ll go by the original posted schedule unless I get enough feedback on when to run what tourney.
I’m hoping we will have more than 4 TVs, so if you have room, please bring your TVs! the more we have, the more time we will have for casuals, which is probably the most popular part of going to tournies. I don’t plan on doing 2 tournies at a time, and I do want to have warmup time.

Just wondering if there would be any converters for xbox controllers at this tourney? I’m 99.9% sure I’ll just have to buy a ps2 controller. Not a big deal, just use to that xbox controller.

I wish I could find one. my fav stick for playing 3s is an xbox stick I made, but nobody uses xboxes for tournies. I don’t even know if they make an xbox to ps2 converter.
hey final, will you take a look at my stick at the tourney? I can’t take out my buttons because they’re soldered onto the microswitchs and some buttons get stuck…i dunno if that’s cause something spilt onto them or because the sanwa buttons are rg…let me know man
Major Update:
An unexpected death in my family has occured so I will not be there at the tournament. I fly out tomorrow to Michigan for the funeral. I really do apologize for this as I wanted to make sure all this goes smoothly but things like this happen there isn’t anything I can do about it.
Final, I believe Brandon (RunningInThe90s) and Jeff are gonna’ be there for sure so maybe they can help you run the tournament with my absense. If you need Brandon’s number, let me know and I’ll give it to you. Jeff has it as well.
