yeah, that and the Saturn version of VS1 are supposed to be the most arcade perfect versions on any system. and no, the sega saturn is NOT REGION FREE. youd have to either mod it (which could break the system, especially since it was hard to mod in the first place) or you bought a special adapter and spring that would let you play import games.
My laptop will output to monitor but it would need to have a VGA in (or DVI because I have a converter). If the monitor isn’t a game style monitor with a pretty low response time there will be lag issues. Just a head’s up.
Chuji is top tier in Tobal 2.

saturn is the BEST port for the game, it has all the frames in the game. ps2 is the 2nd best version with the proper dipswitch settings. Every other port of VS is trash.

Why are we even talking about ports??? Now that every new stick works on PC, why would anyone even care about Saturn of all systems?? FBA is all that matters at this point.
VH2 is the best in my eyes only because it takes the dark force moves and makes them supers, and that helps out my two mains soooo much.
I would just suggest that you guys play either one (VS/VH2) on the computer only because no one has good MAS/PS2 sticks anymore, and everyone has some kind of TE that will connect to a PC/laptop. I guess the biggest problem would be finding 2 or more comps to run it on.
I could lend my PC or my laptop or both if it is a day that I do not need them both. No lie tho… I have brought my PC to both UA tourneys and not a single soul (hardcore wise) is down to play the game… Not even Jeff or Brandon… 
On a side note:
Coming to get that TvC stick on Sunday and give 10 dollars to the MvC3/AE/3s pot. Which ever one has the most people I guess… I do not think I will actually play any of those games but, hey you gotta do what the man says to get the stick so… Free 10 dollars going into the pot…

VS gets 99% of the tournament play, VH2 is just capcoms attempt to make the game scrubbier. Ironically, the vampire savior community is the one of the few instances where a new version came out and they stuck with the previous versions because it was a better game. The Japanese pro’s, the only people who truly know the game, “feel” like the PC ports of VS run the game too fast, maybe like 1-2 frames faster than normal and in a game that fast, those really matter.

jason, I got tobal 2 on psx whats good!!! people sleep on tobal 2 but that game is the real fucking deal. Its definitely one of the most innovative fighters ever made.
The Japanese also have arcades to play at so they can talk all the shit they want… What do you play it on again… Oh yeah GGPO LOL, meaning you are running the CPS2 version right?
I still do not run GGOP (just to lazy to even fuck with it) but if you are ever in town and want to run it you know who to call.
I still see tourneys that run VH2, true it is not nearly as many as VS but I do not see people talking bad about the game. More scrubby… care to talk about it? I have no clue so I would like to know. I play them both but like Gallon better in the VH2 version… Along with Demetri… Besides I hate Jeda and like Donavon and Huitzil. But if it is scrubby I guess I should not play it… LOL
i have the english patch version (so i can play adventure mode if i really want to.). its definitely one of the better fighting games ive played in awhile. anyways im gonna bring it if anyone wants to try it out.
GGPO is net code. FBA is the emulator that runs those thangs.
Explanation of Darkstalkers arcade versions surrounding VS (for anyone who cares):
I dunno what “scrubby” means but what they did was they released VS in arcades but had to take out a few characters (from VH/NwDsR) to fit in the 4 new ones. The systems didn’t have alot of memory then… Most people were fine with this and the gameplay was so good no one really cared after a while… BUT there was still this community that really wanted those other characters from the earlier Darkstalkers games in this new engine… So they released both Vampire Savior 2 and Vampire Hunter 2 in Japanese arcades.
Mainly they just swapped out characters in each version and gave them alternative background stage colors, while adding minor gameplay tweaks and changes to the characters’ move lists. The biggest difference was taking the “Dark Force” ability and changing it from a character specific “buff” (a la x-factor/custom combo groove) to an ability that turned the “EX moves/Supers[sort of]” (much different from EX in SF series… ES in darkstalkers is equivalent to the street fighter EX) into stronger versions of themselves.
Some people prefer the later two games because of the characters (fan loyalty). Most people agree the “tweaks” overall made the game less interesting and less competitive but that’s very, very debatable. VS became the tournament standard because after the dust settled it was the only one still being regularly played over there. I feel like it’s probably a pretty subtle difference though.
Overall you can say Vampire Savior 2 was actually trying to be a sequel and made more “progressive” changes in the sound and mechanic areas (also they roster swapped Jon Talbain, Sasquatch, and Rikou with Donovan, Huitzil, Pyron). Vampire Hunter 2 was more of a “throwback” and made the game sound and play a bit more like Nightwarriors: Darkstalkers Revenge (Vampire Hunter 1) including the roster(Jedah, Baby Bonnie Hood, Q-Bee, and Lilith removed and replaced with the characters they replaced when they appeared in VS).
At least that’s how I understand it. Anyone who knows better and followed these things closer please correct me.
For tournies it’s just easier for me personally to support VS because it’s the most unique in the series and I like the Dark Force mechanic the way it works in that game. Plus if you accept the VH2 and VS2 format you then have to decide which version (cast basically) to use… and that’s a whole different battle as there’s less reason to choose one over the other once you accept the larger gameplay changes those versions bring.

I’m not following your math. If there’s $50 left to be distributed amongst top 3 then wouldn’t the payout be $30, $15, $5 for a 60%/30%/10%?

I would say we are pretty involved we have Casuals every sunday in riverside + a tourney at the end of the month and Tyger is starting up ranbats every week in Orange Park. @ Sying the tourney was great I can’t really think of anything to improve other than getting a BB/Tekken/TvC table which you have already said BUT whyuno on XBL?!? I need that Viper experience.
Its really good for those who are new to capturing and recording. It comes with everything you need and editing software for it so that you may make professional videos. The only downside is that it can only go up to 480p. Heres the quality of its results:
it sux i couldnt do the 3rd Strike tournament. i didnt know the controls would be like that on 360. like i said before, im used to the ports and i knew the game would be slightly slower but didnt think the moves would be more stricter. so next time yall decide to do one, can yall get a PS3 with up there so i can play on pad? itd definitely make me feel more comfortable putting my money down if i can at least play it on a good pad.
