Was getting itchy for some UMvC3 hype and wanted to knock the dirt off of MvC3 and did a search for local tourneys and here I am. Nice. See you folks on Sunday. Bringing MvC3 for PS3 and a fight stick. Hopefully there’s at least one other PS3 stick? Sying, you said there’d be a system already there? If not, I can bring mine. Might be bringing another or two people as well. $5 you say? I say aaaaalll right.
We will have at least 2 PS3 systems up there. Most of our Marvels are on 360, and I will have an extra stick for both systems. You are free to bring your MVC3 on PS3. A lot of the setups are provided by tyger of Storm Gaming, so I don’t take any credit for that.
If you havent perused the last couple of pages of the Jax thread, there is a tournament at Hammer Hall on 8/28/2011 and another tournament on 9/3/2011 in Orange Park hosted by said tyger (should be bigger, if you want to level up).
I did see that. Considering coming to the one on the 28th and bringing a few friends. Would like to see just how rusty I am on Sunday so I know how much practice to put in the next week or so. Played it last night for the first time in a few months. Need to work on my timing all over again. Thanks for all of the info.

Where’d you get an arcade copy? I take it its on an emulator. I played it at evo and it def raise my hype meter but I wanna play it more cause im completely scrubby at it lol

Yeah, Gill is banned so no biggie there. Im probably getting 3s on 360. I should have it ready for both tournaments.

So I got KOF XIII working…but it’s kinda slow on my PC. Going to try and see if I can tweak some stuff to get it running better. It’s looks awesome though even if the game for me is in slow motion. LOL.
Yeah the Taito Type-X boards were all based in Windows XP and on Nvidia boards so if you don’t have a setup like that with a duo core style processor or something similar you’ll end up with really weird and jerky frame rates. I happen to have a setup that runs it nearly at full arcade speed. You can barely tell. I’d bring it up to HH if it wasn’t such a bitch to move an entire computer and then find a place to set it up.
The 3s is just FBA and the Rom. Runs full speed though on my little laptop buddy. I was supposed to post GGPO names for Priest but none of us are even playing on there anymore. Just training until OE comes out. I don’t even have the GGPO ports mapped to my computer right now. Sorry about that dude. I’m birdsguts on there though. Same as XBL.

We always seem to be a bit short on systems so having one as backup couldn’t hurt. We’ve been good on monitors lately but sometimes people don’t show so anything you bring is very helpful. I know that’s not very precise but every week it’s pretty random with who actually ends up being able to make it and who has plans that pop up.
Stopped by Hammer Hall just to see what it was like. Hoping people show up for 3S on Sunday. If anyone has a stick/ps controller they wouldn’t mind me bumming during the playing would be great. I’m still trying to get up with Final Cut to get a stick for 3SO.
That’s funny. I just changed to Windows 7 for about the fourth time from XP. Oh well. I just spent a few hours trying to overclock my computer. Needless to say that went nowhere.
Just tried to play some AE and I just don’t feel it at all. It feels so strange to me. I just can’t find a groove with the way it flows. Also the music is the most generic shit I’ve ever heard in a Street Fighter period. (Aside from “Fighting Street” but hell that doesn’t even really count. lol) Unfortunately for me music is a big factor for me in games. I don’t actually hear the music for the most of the match, but it’s a psychological thing. Can’t feel SFIV at all and I blame the soundtrack. Haha.
So 3s it is for me until I get a 360/PS3 and then I’ll play 3s on that. Nothing else right now really interests me. Waiting to see how SF x Tekken turns out. I’m completely ready for TTT2. Shit looks dope! XIII and SG I have to sit down with before I can make a verdict as I don’t know shit about either of the games.
I agree about SF4. Nothing against it. It’s a good design for what it’s trying to do. I just don’t like that style system personally. SFxT could be fun though.
SF4 AE was/is a big localization test. I don’t think they put to much development time into the tweaks nerfs plus the development of yun and yang. I’m a big believer In overcoming matchups but it feels like they copied and pasted them for 3rd strike without thinking about the balancing them In the realm of sf4.
