this being SF4, the only real blockstring is mashed jab into a low short with nothing after it.
depends what I want to accomplish though. usually I will just do c.lp c.lp c.mp xx jab criminal because on hit, I use fierce tornado and get my big damage hit confirm and on block I am far enough away to be safe (sometimes! I still need to investigate this more because I get punished by things that make no sense).
The other one is a frame trap into c.fp xx criminal which makes a proper block string… they can’t mash out between blocking a c.fp and your criminal.
RH ruffian might connect if you launch with bingo, but if you juggle into bingo it probably won’t. will investigate
Thanks for taking the time to post but dude, seriously, read the OP
wow, great thread sakeido, thanks for the effort. You’ve managed to lay everything out in an easy to read, logical fashion, quite an accomplishment on the internet
Just curious, I mess around with cody every once in awhile and I’ve noticed, most people say his B&B is jab jab mp to criminal upper… is there a reason people dont use jab jab jab mp criminal upper?? Just curious. I haven’t really had an issue landing it with 3 jabs instead of 2. Damage scaling maybe fucks it up?
EDIT - jeez. Aside from scaling, pushing the target back there’s another reason you don’t do this. More often then not, you’ll end up missing the initial hit of the CU which is a grip of damage. Only reason you’d do this is if you’re complete ass at hit confirm.
or you dont sleep before tournaments and play drunk like me. But c.lpx3 as opposed to c.lpx2? Common sense nigga.
Er, haven’t seen any mention of it, but I’ve had some nice success with j.rh fp - cr.fp - jab criminal - ex criminal. Sometimes I’ve been able to squeeze an EX stone in between the cr FP and the jabbing upper, but I’m not good enough on the inputs to reliably pull it off so I can’t quite verify that it fits in the chian…
I think I saw somewhere on a different thread saying that it doesn’t work on some characters. I might be wrong.
Either way, it takes some super strict timing. In training mode I’ll only get it 10%-20% of the time…
Maybe I suck I don’t know. Probably. lol
well, im majorly digging the name “bingo buffer” & am gonna use it as jargon from now on
but, & there is a but…
just as i did firstly & milki did a few posts up, you forgot that important tenet of RHRuffian so ill quote it again:
you have to stand the crouching opponent w/ cr. or standing FIERCE before you xx RHRuff!!!
that out of that way, shinstar:
if you noticed in my original combos, i was using jab bingo… which i was charging the whole combo
later that night as i was drifting off to sleep i thought: "jeez it would be a lot easier if i charged the bingo on fierce"
glad to have your confirm on that early tuesday
so after i got off work yesterday i come home & try charging on fierce like your combo & omg is it ever easier! the damage on my combo dropped by 12, but the stun stayed the same :bgrin:
needless to say, unless im showboating or looking to pretzel my fingers up, im using fierce in my bingo buffers that will allow it
also @ sakeido: some of the numbers in my original posts were wrong because i forgot super4 saves your training config &… you guessed it: counterhit starts
tho i do think that youd get quite a few ch nj.Fierce if you were gonna go for one :nunchuck:
but ive gone back & tested & retested(also on a few other chars in addition to ryu)& i have the accurate info.
so the bingo buffer combos i have are as follows(also edited my earlier posts to have correct numbers):
bingo buffer combos
[details=Spoiler]towards corner
tested on crouching ryu, ken, chunli, guy, & hakan
** = begin bingo charge
**[346,444] ** st. or AA RHRuffian > FADC > Fierce BINGO > EX CriminalUpper
[304,460] (2) st. or cr.Fierce xx RHRuffian > FADC > Fierce BINGO
[388,586] (3) st. or cr.Fierce xx RHRuffian > FADC > Fierce BINGO > EX CriminalUpper
[443,728] (3) j.Fierce > st. or cr.Fierce xx RHRuffian > FADC > Fierce BINGO > EX CriminalUpper
So, I figured out you can easily use cr.HP in a frame trap to get a free counter hit setup.
I ended up with this combo, which I manage to connect twice today :
(Counter hit startup, 4 stocks corner)
cr.HP > EX Bad Stone > cr.HP > Ruffian Kick HK > Ex Focus Cancel > f + HK > EX Criminal Upper
Damage : 521
Stun : 890
The perfect setup include that your opponnent stun is 0, then all you have to do is hit them once, and enjoy.
