Does anyone know cody’s block strings?

why is this dude zuku giving us combos that’s already on the first page

i added stun values that were/are missing.

Not sure if this is helpful, but you can connect a lvl 2 crumple from EX Rocks FADC.

Example: LVL3 FA -> EX Bad Stone -> LVL 2 Focus Attack Cancel -> Insert Combo

I haven’t had time to see if this benefits him in a realistic way, but tool around with it and see if you find anything cool or broken.

Not sure if its been talked about, but cr.fiece and fierce makes the opponent stand meaning you can do things like this;

j.mk > fierce > cr.lp xx roundhouse Ruffian > FADC > ultra 1

forcing them to stand is pretty handy.

i wish his taunts wouldn’t take so long to “start”

i mean, when i dizzy an oponnent i love to use taunt 9, but it takes so much time to cody to move his hands that the dizzy is over

No point taunting, just do nj. hp -> cr. hp -> hp. CU

Shit hurts so bad, it’s worse than a taunt.

If you have the meter, and its the last round, go for it. Otherwise, meterless combos are much better to be in the habit of IMO.

cody builds so much super, i dont even know what to do with it lol THAT meter gain needs gen. srsly.
if i want to spent meter for FADCi use it for CU FADC Throw or hk ruffian FADC mk ruffian. but only if i have 3 meter at least and no u1 blinking.
but depending on the matchup ex moves are mandatory, like vs fireball spamer. <3 ex ruff

Works great when you get a Dizzy or land a lvl 2 FA

I know it cost 3 bars…but JESUS the damage, is a thing of bueaty.

that would cost a whole super bar. and i think c.hp xx hp cu into super cancel does alot more damage.

combos and hooligans

I have been mixing the normal BnB up with crouching lp(3x), the crouching mp, and crouching hk. It seems to get in on most characters and can be a set up for the forward hp. Anyonw have thoughts on that combo?

Also I have had problems timing the anti air hooligan kick when opponents jump in. There was one time I conncted a medium hooligan kick right after i anti-aired my opponent with a hard hooligan kick. Can this be done always or only if timing is perfect?

What the hell is a “hooligan kick”? I think you mean “Ruffian Kick”. :wink:

In order to AA with hk.rk, you need to do it early (in most cases). I’ve had success using it on reaction against some characters, but it’s a little situational. If it’s done early enough, you can juggle with mk.rk for free (no ex-cancel-dash-fwd required). Hit the training room, set the dummy to jump, and have a play around - it’s not too mystical once you connect it a few times.

has anyone been using his super as anti air…i had pretty good success waiting for suckers to jump in and then making them crash

For M.Ruffian to connect after H.Ruffian, I’m pretty sure you need to hit the antiair so the opponent lands on Cody’s heel or foot during the H.Ruffian. In other words, it needs to connect early. No matter how you hit it, though, I don’t think it hurts to TRY to land the M.Ruffian, since it brings you right into the opponent’s face if it whiffs.

It actually happens accidentally to me now and then. If I’m buffering QCF in case the opponent jumps, I sometimes wind up with double-QCF, and connect the full Super. It’s hella tasty when you do land it, but if you’re a little late, much like with the M.Ruffian combo, the rest of the Super will whiff. So only do it if you’re SURE you’ll be able to land the whole thing.
