So, the game’s out today in the US on the PS3/4 lol… Who’s picking it up?

There was an event today at the EB Games at Eaton Centre in Toronto. Just a small launch party for this and BBCPEX, with the latter having a tournament run for it. I got 5th place, played some J-Stars after I got eliminated and then won a free copy of J-Stars via a raffle. Wasn’t really hyped for this game, but I’m kinda excited now that I got it for free. Gonna unlock Jojos, Kenshiro, Koro-sensei and Chitoge as soon as I can.

Apparently the Vita version is Vita-only, and does not work on PSTV. What the fucking fuck.

Waddaya know… all the Gamestops in town, the Best Buy, and one of the Walmarts that I visited all had copies of the game.
Well, the PS4 version, that is.
Only snagged the lone PS3 copy one Gamestop had, cause I can’t be bothered with the newer systems this year.

Thinking about getting this since I’ve been playing Ultimate Stars. Just have a couple quick questions:

  1. How accessible is it for scrubs to pick up and play? Like, I’m talking people that can’t do standard qcf x 2 supers and basic 3 hit combos.

  2. Can you do local co-op against the computer?

  3. How dead is the online so far?

  1. This game is as basic as it gets. All button combinations, no command inputs.
  2. I don’t know about that one… Possibly.

Actually mulled over buying this game or Under Night In Birth EXE:late when I saw both games (PS3 versions) at my local store in the UK last week. Ended up getting UNIEL but I will probably get this one as well.

There’s something patently hilarious about a fighting game in which you can play as Raoh from Fist of the North Star, Ryotsu from Kochikame, and Arale “Arale-chan” Norimaki from Dr. Slump, all in the same fight.
