ehh i cant totaly say its ass yet, just another dbz game. i only played a few matchs online … the story so far i can tell is the same story we all played from every dbz game since ps2 rehashed in short clips.
if maybe You had 4 guys with good connection it might be fun…but it was just a online mess when i was playing…always that 1 bar guy from tinbucktoo in your lobby .
yeah i rather have boa, but surprised no zoro, but i would not expect buggy at all
that makes me a bit optimistic , but no matter what its a must have for the collection . for good or bad

After watching some matches, it looks pretty fun. Wonder if it could get some competitive spot light.
I just got the game today and it is pretty fun I like the game alot. I have only played with Goku and Yusuke so far, definitely a fun game. In terms of competition this seems like less in depth game than Gundam Extreme vs. I could see the game getting a competitive community. Meter management is huge in this game due to everything relying on your meter (blocking,dodging, special attacks, etc). Characters that can charge their meter faster are definitely going to be at an advantage. Goku seems to have above average charge while Yusuke from what I have seen seems to have a much slower charge. Also choosing the right teammate and supports will play a large factor as well.
That’s awesome. It seems like you can build some lock down/trap teams. Like the guy from Toriko…zebra I think his name is. With his thunder traps, and a good rush down team mate, sounds like something dangerous.
Talking about Zebra, I’ve been using him a lot and yeah he’s a mean trap char. I’ve uploaded a few videos of my first matches:
But I can see he is slow as shit, and his meter building is so so. Now Vegeta… jesus, that man can build some fucking meter. I was watching some guy named Rin Piece play Vegeta. Would turn Super Sayian and just rush shit down, characters would be dead in like a minute. Who else is looking strong atm? Yusuke looks more like a zoner in game.
He’s not THAT slow. His meter building is balanced, any faster and he would have been broken as fuck. With him it’s all about meter managing and space controlling with walls and thunder balls. His meter comes back quickly enough for you when you know what you’re doing.
Vegeta on the other hand is completely broken from what I’ve heard. Love that big bang attack assist though lol.
I agree, I’m also hearing that Vegeta is godlike in the current build. I can’t wait til Summer break when I can pick the game up and bum out on my friend’s couch and play it.
Anybody have any current teams they’re running? I want to use Vegeta, the basketball kid and Kenshiro. Probably going to sub that school girl, Kenshin and Jotaro until they release DBZ’s most popular character (Captain Ginyu) as DLC.
I don’t have any official partner as of yet but I’ve worked well with everybody I’ve played so far. I’ll have to say this though Aizen/Zebra is one sick team combination.
I’ve started using Koro-sensei, he’s really fun.
I never really payed that much attention to any of the trailers, but what does victory burst actually do for your team??

Victory burst gives you access to your ultimate attack. Also stat boost depending on which one you choose at the character select screen. I think one is reduced stamina usage, higher attack power, and reduced support recharge time.
Dear God the J-stars board on Gfaqs is fucking horrible. Every other topic is complaining about players online. Oh look someone has an infinite the fun is getting sucked out of the game, how dare you use big bang attack its cheap. Same shit over and over
