I've got it! The distinguishing factor!

I was playing a few ranked matches just now and played some dude called shinbuk1. He was ok. I beat him the first game but he surprised me because I didn’t expect him to have so many of those short, short, wait, uppercut gimmicks. Well we played then he beat me and called me a lagger, I told him if we played again I’d let him beat me but he didn’t do anything deserving of a win and we went back and forth for like 3 or 4 messages.

He basically told me he is really fuciking good, been playing for 10+ years and whatnot. You’d think this guy was Valle with all his experience, BUT **(the big but!((T))) **after talking to him for a bit…I came to realize he didn’t know what the fuck he was doing. He just knew his one routine and stuck to it strongly. After playing him a few times, I could see how he came to have the 0 rank but it wasn’t because he was good. He just had tons of those short short wait uppercut gimmicks. Imma call em SSWUGs for short. Well his SSWUGs while extremely unorthodox (one of them was rh drills, w/ necro, jab spiral, take step back, low forward, take step forward, wait then when he saw a flinch he’d strong or fierce electricity.) worked for the first two matches, maybe. He always committed to his guesses on wake up and because I have a habit of expecting them to wait for a parry before choosing to attack, they worked more than half the time. We played a good…12 games? and I think it ended with me as the victor but I could be wrong. That’s not important, though.

The true point of this thread was to point out the distinguishing factor.

In my games with him I noticed that since I have the habit of playing with my food, I managed to get hit by a lot of weird things and through my GODLIKE perceptiveness I noticed that he rarely if ever capitalized on those awkward hits. This is turn led me to think that maybe he did them on accident. If he did them on accident, I can tell you right now that I am better than him, if only for one reason. I don’t do anything on accident. In any fighting game.

That is the distinguishing factor.

Pros and Dander alike don’t do anything on accident. Everyone else does things on accident a majority of the time.

Maybe I didn’t articulate it as well as I would’ve liked to but what I’m trying to say is:

STOP FUCKING MASHING AND PAY MORE ATTENTION YOU FAGGOT SCRUBS.

I’ve payed my dues, now suck my dick.

Oh yeah, another thing. Take the game seriously. I don’t mean get mad when you lose, because that’s not necessarily serious. That’s more like aggravated. By serious I mean you guys need to try to turn the game into something more than just flashing lights on that screen. I don’t mean make more lists with numbers on them, either. I’m talking immersion here. Become Ken, maybe take the tournament setting and treat it like an anime or something. Pick your rival and pretend you’re Ash. Treat it like a real fight. Realize your opponents are all emotion once they have more than a win on their minds and that emotion allows you to take the game’s 6 normal attacks and make them: angry(6 normals), confident(6 normals), tired(1-3 normals), annoyed(2 normals), etc, etc. Last hint. Seriously. Just watch them for the first round. Try to stay safe. Go the marvel 2 route, block low react high. Watch them. Make note of what their first attack in order to figure out why they MIGHT have done it. Pay attention to which moves they like to do most often because even a pros can be dependent, they just hide it well.

There’s still so much I want to type but I’ll stope here It’s like 4 am and I have to wake up at 6. ;_;

I take this game very seriously. I don’t even know why.

So yeah, scrubs on accident. Pros with purpose.

GET IT?! PROSE WITH PURPOSE

tbh it was all a build to this.

MUAHAHAHAHAh

like

Just play for now. Even ranked. Just play. You’ll fall in love with the game that much quicker and you’ll be that much more determined to play the game instead of just playing YOUR game like shinbuk1 up there did. Heck, you might learn even more if you played your opponent’s game. Place yourself in their zones just so you can learn them for the next players. One loss, while extremely fucking annoying, believe me I’ve lost to Gootecks’ scrub ass on stream, is not worth making yourself a bad player.

Offline, btw. Online all kinds of accidental shit comes out.

Earlier an Alex player hit me with the EX Elbow dash thing and the first hit landed but I blocked the second one. LOL.

Been trying to learn this game as a Q player and I absolutely treat every match like a fight in real life:

  1. I run away the entire time while taunting my opponent

  2. If he gets close, I flail my arms like a little girl

  3. I get beat up by anyone over the age of seven

Thread has high sodium content btw… this 0-ranked guy who beat you repeatedly “didn’t know what the fuck he was doing” pffft yeah whatever dude.

How high is Dander right now?

is this what dander is trying to say?

Can you still get the rollover to 0 rank bug? I’m tired of getting thrown out of lobbies.

I support this thread.

according to jwang i play better with urien than ryu.
should i switch my avatar?

fuck scrubs! this is BULL$#!+ :clapdos:

shinbuki isnt bad at all

and actually, the one match i played against you dander (it was chun/chun iirc) was unbelievabely laggy so im sure he had a reason for calling you ‘a lagger’ lol

I never said shinbuk1 was bad, I was explaining his bad attitude. But maybe my point wasn’t very clear. You’re missing the point. I’m feeling the lag as much as he is, but even then I don’t just wildly press buttons. I will gladly walk to you and take a fierce to the face before I start spamming low forward.

I am much better at this game than shinbuk1. I promise you that much.

dude can’t even spell his name right.

It’s JWONG silly.

I always imagine Dander taking a giant bong hit just before he goes on SRK.

your oro may be cooler but mine is more annoying.
oros command grab is so goo

dandruff dont you have a mic or something. that would be much easier way to discuss advanced tactics for EC to WC matches.

You have the gift of remote viewing. Use it wisely, and use it well.

your oro just became my Oro btw. Because I owned you.

As for the mic, I’ll see if I can buy a new one. My current one goes in and out.

Imagine if I said that all outloud and someone overheard it without knowing what we’re talking about? That woulda sounded bad.

youre already back? wtyf

I am not certain…

We got matched up tonight and the game froze at 0 seconds. I assume it’s because if we had played the universe would have gone limp-wristed…or something like that.
