Ammy is next on the list, I might be consulting with you on that one Blue.
Feel free, I’ll help in whatever way I can!
Good stuff. I’m able to give input for Taskmaster, Haggar, Dormammu, or Trish, perhaps Vergil. I know Firebrand pretty well, but I’m under the impression you know Firebrand/Frank just fine, since you kinda made up 80% of the tech this summer
I will likely do them in alphabetical order and I was gladly accept input. I would also like to put in what Frank’s cart do to support the characters and things like that.
Well, currently discovering applications of cart for Tasky, I know how to extend a few Trish combos with cart, and other than that, I got nothing special, aside from how people generally use tatsu. It is the false tatsu, after all.
So if I am not a complete failure at math then this is what the snapshots do meter wise:
It takes 124 snapshots to reach one full meter from a level 1-4 snapshot
It takes 112.72 snapshots at level 5 to reach one full meter
Here is where it gets interesting though.
By leveling up one level you get 50,000 meter (of your needed 1,240,000)
By leveling up two levels you get 100,000 meter
By leveling up three levels you get 170,000 meter
According to my count on these. Can someone please test as well?
it does 10,000 -damage-, it builds 80 -meter-. 1,000 meter per bar means it should actually be 125 snapshots.
The base damage of the attack is directed to your meter gain. You need 1,240,000 base damage to build one meter in Ultimate. It was 1 million in MvC3.
Ah yes, meter cataloguing…well, I have nothing to contribute to this one.
However, just for funzies, I’m posting the link to the Bee vs. Knives MM at Canada Cup. It was extremely hype, and almost every single match Bee’s Frank put in some serious work. The man’s a boss, and there was a LOT of lvl1 Frank, his neutral is phenomenal.
[details=Spoiler][spoiler/]
There’s some stuff in that match and the other matches i posted in the video thread that shows he’s addressing his biggest problem as well, his combo choices with Frank, lots of occassions where he saves the ground bounce for the end to get Tools M damage…
…and then goes straight into Super instead of tacking on a second one, Grrrrrr…
Goddamn Bee is one legit frank player, I love watching him play
Sorry guys, the Sandy-Power matchup was 10-0, so I haven’t been on. I’ll try to watch that FF soon, my phone’s 4G is ass right now.
BTW, totally forgot I don’t use the ground bounce or wallbounce in my corner BnB. Gonna tack the double Tools on and see how much more damage I can get when I get the chance. If someone can do that for me, I’d appreciate it (3-6 days of no power still)
BTW, Cape, I’d be happy to help with Wright.
I noticed. His real thing is he makes absolutely superb uses of Frank’s neutral game, his crouch height, and he’s really patient. He does a lot of j.M DELAY j.M so that the opponent mistimes when they’re airborne and when they’ve landed.
For his combos, yeah, he doesn’t doubletools, which bothers me a bit, but I have found that when he doesn’t do tools M at all, it’s always because he is aiming to DHC to spencer and get the otg followup, and is saving the wallbounce.
And yeah, the combos might not be the most optimal of optimal things, but at least they’re not Noel Brown’s Frank combos.
Biggest combo problem is his confirm off of Jam Session, i haven’t messed with it yet, but i’m certain there’s more he can do before the ground bounce, Jump M, H xx Tools L, H (land) S or Jump M, H xx Tools L, H (land) (rejump) MMS or…something.
Every time he touches someone with Level 5 Frank and they don’t die, i die a little inside. He’s still the best Frank right now though, free.
Meta, when I get closer I’ll be sure to PM you. Going to be doing them alphabetically so Ammy is next.
Well look at his competition; in terms of mainstream franks you’ve got Noel, Justin, Bee, and I guess Kusoru. Kusoru’s Frank is no good, Justin never leveled his and Noel’s is just there to push the shopping cart. He practically wins by default based on that. That said, he showed a lot of nice presence of mind against Knives, but at the same time I don’t think Knives knows what to do against Frank -at all-. And the combos absolutely matter because Frank and Spencer are supposed to be touch and kill characters.
Getting a relaunch/jump loop off Jam Session is fairly spacing dependant due to the short range of Frank’s j.H. Understandably in times when there’s a ton of pressure due to money on the line, you don’t want to be messing with stuff that could drop if your spacing is slightly off. I assume Bee just practices stuff he knows he could land reliably in tournament setting which works well due to his patient playstyle. He could definitely do more damage off cleaner confirms but like you said, best Frank free
Just watched that FF. Good stuff. Now I won’t need to TAC to level up with Akuma.
What kind of damage can Frank do off Jam Session/j.MM confirms? I’ve heard he can do 900k+ while being +2 meter positive, but I haven’t really seen what the combos are or what they look like.
Looking for some Frank/Wright synergy to practice up. Any advice?
