Sorry if I haven’t been here. Stupid computer troubles.
There’s probably a lot to add now that we’ve got plenty of early copies, no?

Unfortunately, the zombie grab doesn’t count as an actual grab. It’s like Spider-Man’s webthrow. It throws the opponent, but they can block it.
Updates anyway. The Akuma question from before works. The roll plus the tatsu assist works similar to teleport mixups, but you gotta be close. Also, that servbot super set up I described above works with Akuma as well, but they pop up higher. It might actually make things a little easier.
I was doing the Denjin Ryu and Frank THC, but it seemed the same as the regular tatsu hyper combo. There didn’t seem to be much difference between the two in terms of number of hits, so I would honestly just go without the Denjin mode at first.
Also, doing a reset into Funny Face Crusher seems like it can potentially do between 1,000,000 damage and 1,100,000 after a (already) lvl 5 combo. GREAT!!!
Dang, well thanks for trying it bro.
But from footage I just saw from Max and co(Marvel Madness2) I saw that Ryu’s tatsu assist seems crazy when he’s Denjin’d offcscreen.
How good is it?
At this point in time, I am looking a t a Frank/Ryu/Nova team.
I think the main difference to Denjin is the fact that the vertical range of the hyper is insane… like Mighty Tornado insane. I don’t play Ryu though, so I don’t know the ins and outs to his character.
But yeah, I’m trying to see if I can get a Mega Nova Corps team (Nova, Frank’s Mega Buster alt, Zero’s X alt). If Zero doesn’t work out, I’ll just put in Doom because he was really valuable for my Vanilla Spider-Man, Doom, and Wesker team. I would think Ryu would work though, his tatsu pressure isn’t bad.
Forgive me if this has already been posted, but do we know if Frank can get in a camera shot after the wallbounce of his cart super? I’m guessing not, otherwise I’m sure it would have been mentioned a lot more.
Thanks for those who can let me know~!
I’ve tried it next to the corner, but it doesn’t seem like you can unless you X-factor. I haven’t tried it at all possible ranges though.
Iirc he can midscreen, but not in the corner.
If I heard them correctly on that second Maximillian video - they said that if you tag Frank out, you can skip his vomit animation. Is that true?
It’s plausible. We’ve seen this behavior in pre-release match vids of Frank. That’s not a “yes, it definitely is so”, but it is at least a “makes sense to me and we’ve seen it happen in other builds where Frank was playable”, so… hope it helps!
I’m pretty confident that he can’t do it from anywhere. The opponent just gets off the ground way too quickly.
More Notes:
-Taggin him out removes the vomit state that will occur when he drinks.
-Zombie swings hits twice on airborn opponents, the actual throw and when the opponent lands on the zombie. Really specific combos for this to happen but it works. and :l: are the only ones you can use.
-You can combo into the grab zombie only with assists and only if they’re still standing (e.g. not airborne). Spencer vertical assist does this, the zombie grabs, locks them in place, and you’re free to combo after.
-Frank bnb’s in lvl 5 revolve around 800k damage (basic day -2 stuff, utilizing wall and ground bounce) all of which are solo, no assists, no xfc
slide xx roll, call assist into slide or whatever is the lulz mix up. Really great range.
-Frank can build one bar of meter if he relaunches twice (how you do it is up to you, though one assist is necessary). This can guarantee lvl 5 with the right THC
-Found a use for the kicks. You can combo kick into :h:kick. kick causes hard knockdown then otg with the other kick into zombie-ic maneuvers
I think that’s it for now, Ill post more stuff when I discover them or when I remember some more. Oh, and Nemesis and Frank are best friends imo. Vergil too
Anyone have frame data for the shopping cart hyper yet? Trying to build a decent team around the THC trick, but probably won’t be able to get the book right away…
This post made my day. I’m really set on having a Nova/Frank/Vergil team and this could not be better news.
^^I was testing a similar team. Frank/Vergil can get you easy lvl 5. THC with both of them allows Frank to get a camera at the end because maximum Vergil causes a hard knockdown. His assists are also really good with roll mixups, although the assists have a bit of startup. I have a question though. What’s your assist of choice for Nova? I havent found one that really benefits Frank all too well.
If someone could test for me,
Frank/Thor Thc, Im thinking something like
Frank Basic Air combo, snap a picture + thor, frank air combo again, snap a picture xx THC, hopefully get another snap a picture, and maybe have enough time to either just do another raw camera or even better knee drop otg snap a picture. hopefully that makes sense
Well I was considering either Gravimetric Pulse or Centurion Rush. Gravitmetric Pulse basically forces the opponent to jump if they want to avoid it, so Vergil can benefit with his air throw. Once Frank is level 3, he could bait the jump with the Silly Face Slammer. Also, since it creates a low durability shield, I was imagining that you could use it to negate projectiles and roll after it comes out, making a safer approach.
EDIT: Intro Quote with Spider-Man
"I’ll show that Parker kid who’s the better photographer!"
I’ve been using Gravimetric Pulse as well, but I find it a double edge sword. On the one hand, it forces them to jump, but on the other, it gets rid of Nova’s red life. And he’s my point man, if I switch him out, I want him to recover his life.
I haven’t tried it yet, but Frank might benefit from Nova’s (forgot the name) assist where he jumps in the air and dive kicks them. That is, if the move is an overhead. Can anyone verify that? I’m at work and can’t test it myself. If it DOES hit over head, you can work Frank’s slide in it to keep the pressure going, creating an unblockable.
My third character right now is Doom, so I got the Plasma Beam assist to cover Nova and Frank when they rush in. It works extremely well with Nova, which is awesome.
Does it use red life even when he is an assist? That would really suck if true.
On a side note, check out the nerdjosh stream dudes been raping sp00ky with frank west all night. On point and as an assist dude looks like rape.
Yes, it does. I performed it earlier expecting it to be normal, but the shield was pretty huge, and all of his recoverable health was gone.
