Team Ordinary Guys - Phoenix Wright, Chris Redfield, Frank West.
My first team will probably be Frank/MODOK/Doom.
MODOK’s beam assist will help with roll mixups and Hidden Missiles helps MODOK tons and should probably help add hits to Frank’s combos. I could do combo-call missiles-air combo-S-Missiles OTG-take a few pictures when missiles are hitting.
I hope that works. It would get double XP.
Do a THC with Hyper Psionic Blaster. That thing gets a lot of hits in.
Lvl 9 Hyper psionic blaster THC will be the answer for the mysterious Lvl 5, which I doubt even exists.
I also will run team ordinary MEN, however it seems that I need to first Level up my chars (except Chris), and almost start with “Handicapped” team, especially Phoenix. Its a good thing that with Frank on point, he both have a way to get in and start left / right mix up (chris gun fire) and unblockable set ups with Hidden Missile ( Phoenix Missile). With Cart assist, it is possible to give a chance for Phoenix to get everything he needs if the opponent blocks it or get hit with it, and helps chris push and chip the opponent more and set bombs. This is just on paper and theoratical at best, while being very optimistic but still…
=D.
people need to stop saying he has a level 5, show me proof or quit your trolling
It will be a very hard team to make effective. Each of those characters is the type of character you build a team around with specific assists to make effective. For Example a team like LLNDs for Chris with Ammy backing up chris and Hsien Ko assist doing the same allowing chris the possibility to actually pressure characters and get it. Phoenix Wright would probably go best with Ammy and Doom for good keep away and forcing Block Stun while he calls Maja and looks for evidence, they would also probably be great combo extenders as well. Similar with frank west. One assist to create good block stun and help him get in, maybe magneto because Frank has that awesome roll like cap, and perhaps a character that can give a wall bounce off the camera shot to extend combos, like spencer armor piercer or wesker’s. But all three of them together just isn’t great synergy at all lol. It’s gunna take work.
Real MEN don’t use guns.
Frank/Wright/Haggar
Lack of functional projectile assist will be my downfall!
Real mean bust caps in that ass.
team kitchen sink Haggar/frank/chris…and when that totally fails team two rolls one gun frank/cap/chris
I was thinking of Team Ordinary-ish Guys of Chris, Frank and Spencer (whose angle-shot assist is godlike for Chris) until I saw the Rocket Raccoon trailers and gameplay and started having a really hard time visualizing what the hell Chris would do against that.
Chris/Frank/Captain works
Cap has super powers though…
Does anyone think that combining Frank with a character that has a crumple as part of their combo chain might be a wise decision? If you place Frank second and do a chain that ends with the first character (She-Hulk, Strange, Iron First) doing a crumple and raw tagging into Frank to maximize the combo counter, you could easily get to level 3-4 with that double paddle attack in the air. You don’t have to worry about a TAC counter.
I am just not sure how hit stun deterioration will impact his lengthier combos.
IF/Frank/Dorm is certainly one of the teams I will be working on from the start.
Works within a MvC context, I suppose (aside from Frank having a pie-throw/wine-throw/etc. projectile)… though it should be noted Frank did use guns in the actual Dead Rising games. Forgive me if this is something you already know; it just might be of interest to those who missed out on Dead Rising 1. Indeed, this was even the origin of his ‘covered wars’ line. While investigating the Willamette Zombie Outbreak, he encounters an incompetent government agent on her way to provide backup to another agent pinned down by an unusually aggressive man armed with a sub machine gun. Frank and the agent bump into one another, she twists her ankle, and Frank offers to go help the agent in her place and reaches for her gun.
She protests; “I can’t do that! It’s against regulations.” Frank points out, “Yeah, well I don’t think they had zombie-infested malls in mind when they wrote those regulations, kid.” She thinks on it for a moment and points to her gun while asking, “Do you know how to use this?”
Frank immediately responds: “Kinda. I’ve covered wars, you know.” Good enough for her! She hands over the pistol and off Frank goes to save her friend/co-worker. It’s just the first of many times he will/can use guns.
It’s possible you already knew that, but it might be of interest to others just starting to learn about the Frank West character; figured I’d bring it up.
Yeah his super powers are called steroids. That’s all the super soldier project was man lol
I wasn’t specifically aware of him using them in Dead Rising 1 but based on my Dead Rising 2 experience I assumed that was the case. Still, knowledge is power!
Chris is an ordinary guy, just with a huge arsenal of weapons. Hagar isn’t an ordinary guy and here is why: no ordinary guy can suspend all motion, breaking the laws of gravity, by doing an air hug. Also no Ordinary guy can stop projectiles by spinning in a circle holding his arms out. And no ordinary guy has an infinite supply of pipes.
Who punches boulders four times his size.
Just sayin’.
No ordinary guy can carry an SMG, a shotgun, a pistol, a magnum, a rocket launcher, a knife, and stun baton, a flamethrower, and an orbital missile cannon at the same time, all with an infinite supply of ammo.
I guess Phoenix Wright is the only ordinary guy (except Maya attacks and Judge Hyper, but he does not do that technically).
unless fighting intergalactic supreme gods and beings with pointing fingers and accusing them with crimes they are already aware off is unordinary
Its kinda sad that Frank lacks command throw, but from the release trailer he could attack with OTG sweep after throw, so thats something to look at.
