Hey I was just wondering, has anyone tried skydance->beehive yet? With the easier inputs it should be possible to get beehive out in 6 frames or so (it’s technically a 1+4 frame move right?). So basically instead of doing skydance->reverb shock->fireworks you would do skydance->beehive->jetstream-fireworks.

Just trying to milk some damage and meter gain out of dante. Faster special inputs are pretty sick.

Well, my ideal combo would be something like Volcano->Beehive->coldshower->stinger->skydance->beehive->jetstream->fireworks. It may also be useful with assist combos (volcano->rapid slash->TK skydance->beehive is something I want to try).

It’s also useful if you’ve already used your groundbounce, such as any combo involving killer bee such as
stuff->killer bee->s.S->charge shots->propshreder->acid rain->skydance->beehive->coldshower->stinger (bold move)->skydance->beehive->stinger bc->jetstream.

There’s still more stuff I want to try like using it for assist combos, or for the recent skydance (last hit whiff)->acid rain->volcano combo (in the corner of course).

Btw, with stinger causing a higher wallbounce, is it possible to do coldshower->stinger (bold move)->skydance (last hit whiff) without putting yourself in the corner? It was possible to do in vanilla, but the spacing and timing were both really strict so I gave up on it. If it’s easier in ultimate then I want to do that->volcano->TK skydance->beehive->jetstream->fireworks.

I get a little carried away with theoretical Dante combos, but skydance->beehive just seems like pure gold with skydance->sentinel being gone <_<.

Honestly I’ve tried this and I’ve done it before but I cant remember how:(I’ve definitely connected a beehive offf a Sky Dance but I cant remember what I did before it as well as who it worked on. Will test later if Nini doesnt post it

Shouldn’t it just work anytime you’d be able to do Skydance->reverb shock?

I’m not 100% sure about that but it works off a Day 1 relaunch combo:
:l::m::h::s: sj :m::m: Killer Bee :h::s: sj :m::m::h: Sky Dance, Cold Shower xx Stinger BC Sky Dance, Beehive (ASAP)

EDIT: If not in the corner, replace first H with 2 hits of cr.H. Tested on Cap, havent tried it on small and large characters
EDIT 2: Works on RR as well (always replace first :h: with cr.:h: on small characters) so Im guessing it’ll work on large characters as well

So is it confirmed that Sky Dance > Beehive works?

Yea I just gave a combo for it in my last post and then you can connect Beehive or Stinger BC Jet Stream

dont know if this has been posted or thought of yet but i havent seen it…anyways im new to dante and i was trying to work on some new combos for my new team of cap/dante/ (hawkeye dont have ultimate yet) and i was trying to find a way to combo out of charging stars to devil trigger and the combo i use already had a ground bounce. I was practicing and practicing til it dawned on me that you can bold cancel stinger (causes the wall bounce on airborn foes) in the corner. So for those of you who are having troubles extending combos in the corner you may wanna try it

broke 800k with 1 meter used, 2 meters gained. so pretty much still has ToD on more than 50% of the cast.too bad its a very unreliable combo and corner only

if you’re not stingy on meter you can just omit some parts - the 2nd charge loop is pretty much the main culprit for the combo dropping if you’re off by a frame or two

New BnB I was working on the other day, does like 750k assistless(maybe more with good mashing?). Too lazy to record.

Getting the skydance to whiff after stinger teleport is weird, probably height related or character specific or something.

Nini what does more damage?

Stinger->Skydance->beehive->6H->jetstream->fireworks

or

Stinger->teleport->Skydance whiff->acid rain->volcano->J.S->volcano beehive?

Basically I’m debating whether to go with skydance whiff combos or with skydance beehive combos
