tk skydance off just an otg volcano > beehive is very possible too but for that setup you need a lot of height to be able to loop it

I didn’t see this on page 1, and am slowly working my way backward from the end (Im at work), but could someone either tell me, or point me in the direction to a decent midscreen DHC glitch followup (glitch into Devil trigger, etc), while we still get to use one? I’ve got a decent one for the corner, but the launch into Thunderbolt thunderbolt vortex stuff doesn’t quite work as consistently midscreen. I have to imagine this info is in the thread somewhere already, so a link or general idea around when it was discussed would suffice. Or if someone wants to type one out, have at it lol

-(while opponent is still spinning)s.M, s.H, Cold Shower xx Prop Shredder, Hammer, Cold Shower xx Stinger BC Teleport, j.S/Hammer, Volcano OTG xx Beehive, Jet Stream/Reverb Shock xx Fireworks xx Hyper (depending on your position you may be able to do Cold Shower xx Stinger BC j.S instead of teleport)
-it seems highly likely that you can do his Bold Cancel bnb from the spinning animation (without the starter -> BC Volcano) but I cant get it

It all depends on the resources available.

But generally, midscreen, I just do J.S>Volcano>J.H>Airplay>J.H>5H>5S>J.H>KIller Bee>44 Charge Shots(10)>Reverb Shock Fireworks

I don’t like to start with cold shower+prop because it prorates the shit out of your combo(cold shower + prop is 6-8 hits, say goodbye to your damage).

Pretty simple sequence but it adds like 600k even without the shot loop and assists.You can get like 800k+ if you got assists and you can hit the Charge Shot>Stinger link

so uh, for the TK skydance combo idea, what do you guys think of using

coldshower->stinger->BC Million Carats->Revolver->TK Skydance->beehive (unsure if Volcano will be fast enough)? I’m pretty sure Revolver gives better frame advantage on hit than beehive (since you can link grapple from a high revolver, but not from a beehive). I haven’t gotten the opportunity to test this out yet though.

Nini’s reply to my post actually made me think of something: why doesn’t anybody use Zero’s Shippuga assist at all? You can do the hard knockdown -> Rain Storm -> call Zero before Rain Storm finishes -> Hammer extension, but you can also do: call Zero, Volcano, (assist hits) Revolver, Grapple for easy mode dhc glitch setups in the corner, (even though the other assist (drones, tatsu, coldstar, or something) lets you do this, you’ve most likely already used the assist for something), and you can even do tatsu-style mixups with it, like :l:/:m: + Shippuga -> Teleport -> j.:h: -> full combo on a standing opponent (though, I’ve never really tested that in matches).

I actually like it a lot and might start using it, as it does more than just give you fancy combo extensions/mediocre projectile, and might actually make Dante being backed by Zero even more ridiculous.

Post DHC glitch (midscreen), when they land and I do Volcano, jH xx air play jH, and land, I want to go for launch and for some reason sometimes the following S or HS(I tried both) will hit like normal, no prob, but sometimes will whiff and be out of range. Does anyone have any idea why and how to prevent the whiff? I’m pretty sure you can air dash between the air play and 2nd jH, but any time I do that, they flip out, so I’d rather not do the air dash stuff if I can help it.

Basically, I have a great post glitch sequence in the corner involving Thunderbolt and Vortex, but midscreen I can’t decide if I want to go the Cold Shower Prop Shredder route, or the Volcano jH air play jH route. Is there, by chance, a way to consistently get Thunderbolt and/or Vortex involved mid screen (unlike the corner, the jS after Vortex always seems to miss from midscreen)? The Volcano HairplayH way runs into the above problem, and the Cold Shower I have problems getting the stinger BC teleport off the cold shower (by itself I can do it every time, off cold shower he always just jumps, grr!).

So any general thoughts on midscreen DHC glitch followups would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

@DarkSim: lots of players run Dante+Zero w/Shippuga assist, it’s just that they also like to put Zero first which is why you don’t get to see the assist.

I’d love to, but as stated in the post, midscreen if you do Volcano, jH (or jMH) xx Vortex, the jS afterwards whiffs. In the corner, no prob. in fact you can get 2 Thunderbolts first, it’s great. but midscreen, unless there’s a very specific timing trick I havent figured out, seems to be sol on Vortex.

No I mean, you might be able to do:

DHC Glitch>TK or J.623S>J.S>Cold Shower>Prop>Regular BnB.
I think Volcano>J.H>Airplay>Falling J.H>Vortex>J.S>Cold Shower>Wallbounce>ender works too.

Would be great if either of those 2 worked and consistently, I will try them after work! Thanks!

Sorry your post got ignored bro. I have a better combo but the timing is weird.

(after j.s/hammer) Volcano, :uf:, j.:h: air play, delayed j.:h:, land :s:, sj. fwd, j.:m::m::h: Sky Dance (timed to make the last hit whiff/ground bounce)

After this, near a corner he can do Cold Shower xx Stinger BC Hammer/j.:s: -> Volcano OTG xx Beehive xx Million Dollars for 774k

If not in a corner, a well timed Jet Stream after the Sky Dance can be canceled into Fireworks xx Million Dollars for 724k

On Sentinel you have to use j.:m: after the first Volcano and air dash fwd after the airplay. I also like to dash closer before the first volcano but im not sure if its required.

I feel a little silly. I actually found out in training that you CAN jH xx Vortex and have the jS hit after, but the timing is really strict. You have to cancel into Vortex, like, IMMEDIATELY. But then it works. Very happy about that lol

Often times during Dante combos in vids I see assists thrown in at certain times. I’ve finally got my basic BNBs down, but don’t really utilize my assists aside from starting the combo itself off Disruptah now and again. If my available assists are Magneto beam and Wesker gunshot, at what point(s) during Dante’s standard stuff can/should I be throwing in an assist? Does it allow for anything special/important? Or more just to tack on a few extra pixels of damage for the hell of it (like when you call an assist right before finishing a combo with some OTG super)?

Doing OTG volcano (assist hits) hammer/j.S knockdown is an easy way to tack on extra damage/meter. You can do it anytime you’re in a OTG/hard knockdown situation. You can throw in Magneto assist anytime your doing your beehive/jetstream/fireworks series.
