  1. Try using bold move with a different button. I usually use S+L. Since Volcano is on M and I assume you are bold moving with S+M, it might make it harder to hit the volcano that way.

  2. I personally suggest doing…

:f::h:(Stinger)xx:s:+:atk:(Bold Cancel), :f::d::df::m:(Volcano), J.:h:, :d::df::f::m:(Air Play), :f::f:(Buffer air dash during Air Play), J.:h:, land, :m:, :h:, :df::h::h::h:(Cold Shower), :s:(Prop Shredder)

Instead. It’s much more consistent than using the AA guns because it doesn’t always hit and pretty much never works in the corner. At least not for me.

thanks that helped my second problem sort of, i made my own lesser version of that… i do j.:h:,:qcf::m:(air play), j.:h:,land,:df::h::h::h: into prop shredder…since i can’t do the air buffer…it’s easier and works so :stuck_out_tongue:

but that thing on the first problem…couldnt figure it out, i still just get it randomly with :dp::s:+:m:, and cant do it at all when i do :s:+:l:…any way i can master it? is it like a timing thing or is it just my stick movement?

Can anyone get the DHC glitch midscreen after Dance Macabre? I can only do it in the corner. This is a really useful DHC glitch setup too. I can just do it after my normal BnB O.o

Also theoretically you should be able to get a snapback in after Dance Macabre in the corner because you link the Devil Trigger, right? I need to try that out. That would make Dante’s snapback combos really nice.

Just tested and the glitch does work midscreen. They’re flung to the other side so following up with the second half will be hard depending on the character, but the spin definitely happened. Dante + Wesker, tested on Cap Am.

Thanks a lot for the tips. In fact, I didn’t even realise I was doing the inputs wrong to begin with (was actually mashing H and S this whole time to do Fireworks/Dance Macabre), but since Fireworks is so much more lenient to hit after the last hit I never really noticed. But wow, that has to be like a 1 or 2 frame window to get DM macabre though, damn, but at least I have an idea now of exactly when to press S and get slightly more consistent with it. Can’t imagine why they would make such a generally useless move (until now) be so difficult to pull off.

Also would love to hear further tips for easier cancelling into DM from qcb + L/M/H.

dance is a one frame window for all three moves it can be done from. i recommend double tapping to make it a bit easier.

what i also do is pressing H immediately after double tapping S, so that i have a chance at least getting fireworks in case i miss dance.

When I’m bold canceling I’m inputting something like

:f::h:, :d::s:+:l:, :df::m:

All you have to know is you can input the bold move before the stinger actually hits and it will still work.

A bit late, but this happens because the Stinger pushes you past them before it hits, and if you input anything in that short window before they go flying in front of you again, you’ll get it in the reverse direction. This even happens at midscreen if you’re not careful - back when I was learning the Grapple DHC combo I sometimes got Jet Stream instead of Grapple after 3HHH xx Stinger, that’s when I realized I had to delay it a bit.

Also, one of the few chars that can both initiate and end DHC trick (In very practical ways aswell), thats pretty huge. But i guess that goes under DHC synergy.

He also has 3 attacks with invincibility, one of which is +20 frames on block.

Requirements: 1 Meter
Meter Gain: 2 Meter
Requirements: Works on everyone. If started in/next to the corner, omit the Bold Cancel~Teleport, the dash, and do :f::h: after the last Cold Shower.
Notes:You can omit the first j.:m: for slightly more damage, but then you miss building 2 bars by a tiny bit. You dash under in order to keep the opponent in the corner. Against Sentinel, omit the first sj.:m: and delay your super-jump to make whiffing the last hit sj.:qcf::h: easier. An air-dash may be necessary depending on your positioning. Personally, I find this combo to be very easy to perform while still dealing solid damage (You can omit what’s in brackets and still do 689,400).

Brackets indicate Sentinel’s part. This needs some optimization; it’s the simplest combo I know for Sentinel that still builds okay meter.

Dunno if this has been asked already, but how come prop shredder sometimes doesn’t launch them up when i use it during a combo? I usually go into prop shredder from AA charge shots in my combos. Is there a way to make sure it always launches them?

Also, are there ways to go into prop shredder from cold shower in a combo without having to buffer a dash during air play like one of the above posts said? I find it better to go into prop shredder from cold shower than from AA charge shots.

Delay the S for prop shredder, the last hit (the one that pops em up) misses if its too high.

If your in the corner you can just do standard dp.M j.H x qcf.M, j.H into M,H, df.HH~S etc but midscreen ad.f j.H land is probably the most practical way

When I do that combo in the corner (stinger into volcano, into j.H airplay, j.H, H S, charge shots, prop shredder) the shots never land. I can never do that combo midscreen either. I do the dash after airplay but I can’t get the H to land afterwards. For now I just skip airplay and go into killer bee and it works fine in the corner. And I know that using killer bee takes away a ground bounce but I can just still go into million carats before the 2nd behive ground bounces. Is there any tips for pulling off the airplay after volcano? I’m guessing you just have to do it really fast. I can get it in the corner but the charge shots never land.

I’ll have to try to delay the S on prop shredder. I know I always don’t get the launch. I just tried tapping H twice than going straight into prop shredder and it normally works.

I also need to figure out how to use Dante. What is a good midscreen combo to use with him? I am pretty good with his corner combos(in the training room, I never get to use it in a real match) but when I do land a combo midscreen I’m not really sure what I should do. I’ve been doing standard launch combo into killer bee. I have trying to practice delaying the relaunch so I can get the sky dance to land at the feet so I can get the otg. But I just have a hard time using Dante in a real match. I try putting him on point just so I can practice with him but I feel like I get stuck in one combo by someone and he’s almost dead already. It’s making it really hard to practice with.

That can be a bit tricky on some chars so do volcano, j.H x qcf.M, j.H, M, H, df.HHH~S bla bla bla instead.

Midscreen just do the regular volcano, j.H x qcf.M, j.H, H, S~HH~S, no airdash needed.

Wait a second…after reverb shock, DT, HSF, the damage is reset like a DHC glitch?
Are you sure about this? Why are people discussing grapples / dance macabre into DT -> DHC glitch when all you need to do is reverb shock, DT which is much easier to get into.

Thanks for the tip, works great now. I still can’t get multiple acid rain loops yet but I’m not too worried about that. I’m having a hell of a time using Dante online though. I’m just putting him on point until I can see the best way to use him. The lag just makes it so damn hard, I constantly mess up his attacks. I’ll teleport from a blocked attack into an air H but because of lag, I keep hitting it multiple times and keep getting the overhead guns. It’s just all his attacks are so hard to pull off with the lag. I wish I had someone I could play locally and practice with. I’m sure it will come with practice but online doesn’t help at all. I’ve gotten good with Zero by just playing him but even still I can never pull off his moves that I can preform no problem in the training room. I hate online so much.
