Its official MvC2 is back with online play!

I’m sticking to my Dreamcast, but one thing I can’t wait to see in this new release is the noobs and scrubs trying out their low-tier teams, rage-quittting and going back to playing SF4.

Xbox you do have to pay monthly, but you can a full year for $50. PS3 does have free online.

Second part of the question is: Although it will probably incite flames, I imagine there will be more players on XBox360 than on the PS3, simply because the XBox360 has more people with the console.

Well, at least until they get competent with cable. Only takes one fuck up to lose a match to that guy, regardless of how good you are.

stay on top of Cable to avoid the shots

How long will it take people to find out whether the port is arcade perfect or not?

Not much time at all. Top teams will be played and tested immediately, and if they are all perfectly ported, I doubt there will be a huge problem. Honestly, top tiers getting fucked up by a port, to the point where they don’t play the same, is much bigger than low tiers getting fucked up by it. But I’m sure they’re doing their best to make it as close to arcade/dreamcast as humanly possible.

The only problems I can see are game-speed differences and slowdowns caused by massive amounts of animation on screen.

its been said that the DC version is the port being used and magnetro tested the game to make sure it was up to par.

If there’s one person who knows the game mechanics, its going to be magnetro.

Him AND Mike Z. It’s insane how much those dudes know about the engine, flaws and all.

The release is so close and my stick has to die on me now? Shit…

Hey, can anyone recommend a good arcade pad. Either the Mad Catz SF4- stick ($148.00), or a cheaper no name model? I want to feel like I’m at the arcade, lol.

i think if people have an xbox and a ps3, that more people will be enticed to get it for ps3. ps3 pad > xbox pad. not to mention most of the people with a MAS has the playstation chord.

also, i see a lot of ragequitting before the match even begins if you pick a top tier team

no, they would buy it for 360 because its coming out much earlier.

i love my sf4 mad catz te stick…works great for sf4 but of course i haven’t tried it on marvel yet so the jury is out on that but i’m sure it’ll work fine…other than that stick, mas sticks are great sticks too…can’t go wrong with them

MAS sticks with p360s are pretty much THEE “marvel stick.” they’re pretty much the exact replica of most dedicated marvel cabs

Well, thats cool to hear. I might just get one of these MAS sticks. i’ll start looking at prices on ebay but I have another question about arcade pads.

When you play with an arcade pad, do you place the pad on the table,or on your lap? It doesn’t sound right because I was always standing up at the arcades while playing on the pads.

I can’t wait for this game peeps!

You’re probably not going to find any decent Xbox 360 or PS3 P360 MAS stick on eBay at this point. Buy direct from http://massystems.com .

I have to hold my stick between my knees (in a kneeling position) so that it doesn’t move at all or I lose my blocks. One of my Marvel losses at Evo in part was quite helped when the stick shifted 20 degrees so that my downblock was just … down. whoops. =)
Most stick players play just sitting on their butt with the stick loose. I don’t know how they do it - they’re way more skilled than I am. =\

I use skateboard tape on the bottom of my stick to grip surfaces. Does really well on carpet\vinyl but not so well on wood ile.

someone pointed out to me recently that you can use yoga mats to grip 99% of the surfaces tournaments are played on. You can grab one from walmart pretty cheap.

yea i cant play for SHIT unless my stick is completely stable and unmovable.

i remember at my moms house she had a huge rug on top of hardwood floor and to keep it from moving she had this rubber mesh under it. i cut a piece of that shit out and put my stick on top of it and it does the trick pretty well.

As a bonus, the airport security removed the bumpers and screws from my MAS stick because obviously the screws were a security concern. :wtf:

Helpful!
