Another use of the repeated cr. :hp: is off a tag cancel in the corner. you can get 4 of them into sonic fang to end a combo with Steve in, or i think 3 into a flicker jab to tag cancel out again. I like it with raven as the whole combo between the two of them can be pretty much Cr. :fp: back and forth with the occasional flicker :lp:

I think the best combo Steve has is anything that leads into…

…c.HP xx Fox Hunt xx EX Sonic Fang, c.HP xx Skyscraper, f.MP, b.LP, b.HP

Jumping in with HK leads to 520 damage, 493 if you link s.MP, c.MP instead of c.HP, and I think 450 if you lead with Ducking Body f.MP, LP, flicker cancel c.HP.

All other combos are for flash and don’t accomplish anything important. If you force your opponent to corner, you sub the Ducking Body line for 3 HPs xx Hellfire Rush or Fox Hunt after Skyscraper into Hellfire Rush.

PS - Does anyone know if you have to go into Flicker and then cancel to go into c.HP from Ducking Hook?

You are right. As soon as fox hunt hits, do EXSF. No breaks between the two.

Yeah, finally got it. I’m always too fast when I need to take it slow and too slow when I need to go fast in this game lol, good thing nothing is too execution heavy once you figure out timings like that.

There’s plenty of creative stuff going on in here. Don’t know what you’re on about, but we all know about flicker cancels by now.

You can also do cl.HP into cr.HP off of a counter hit fox hunt, but the spacing and timing need to be just right.

I also figured out earlier that you can link cl.HP into cr.HP after ducking hook… but it’s also quite difficult.

So if anyone wants to show off their execution, try doing that at the start of a combo.

Also, got some other new combo technology to share with cross rush flicker infinites, but I’ll save it for a video I guess.

You are able to cancel your normals into specials, and Flicker stance counts as a special move. Flicker stance can be canceled into crouching position by holding down or downback,d/b , and from that you can increase your frame advantage on many moves. For example you can do Close HP xx Flicker stance xx d/b, into crHP and continue comboing, and you can do f+ MP LP xx Flicker xx d/b and continue comboing. It’s an awkward motion but it is fundamental to steve’s game, and i’m glad it carried over from tekken b1~b ftw, too bad b1 isnt in the game and doesnt cause crumples on CH anymore.
For example the motion will be close HP, b+ 3K, d/b, CrHP for the first combo

cSt. fierce fient cst fierce fient into cr fierce into steve bnb works, you make be able to do 3 st fierce in itself becuz i believe i acidentally did it in training mode, my fingers are killing me from tying to connect this hard link lol

Still figuring our different variions with Steve’s flicker cancels. Here are some other combos, simple BnB’s nothing difficult.

  1. Jump :hk: S. :hp: Flicker Cancel C. :hp: Ducking-> Skyscraper Hellfire Rush. 541 Damage 2 Meters

2.Jump :hk: S. :hp: Flicker Cancel c. :hp: Ducking-> Skyscraper Weaving B, Shoulder Rush, UpperCut, S. :mp: S :hp: 8 Hits No Meter.

In a earlier post I was trying to figure out how Steve can have combos synonomous to his Tekken gameplay, he was great for carrying people into the corner. I have not experiemented much with this but from what I came up with. This does juggle half way across the screen, you can use EX Ducking if the combo feels difficult at first. And this can be done midscreen.

Juggles 55-60% of the Stage.
Any other variant can be used instead of jump :hk: Jump :hk: S. :hp: Flicker Cancel c. :hp: Ducking-> Skyscraperx3.

Also, I was screwing around with Steve and found some interesting tech. Far Standing Fierce can combo into Peekaboo cutting Elbow. I did this with a Jump in into Standing and into Cutting Elbow and it worked.

It also works as a double flicker cancel. Jump :hk: S :hp: Flicker Cancel back C :hp: Flicker cancel forward Cutting Elbow. The first flicker cancel is done back, the second is done forward for cutting elbow.

what damage can you get off that second combo and does the peekaboo combo do more damage?

502 damage no meter corner combo: jump in :hk:, :hp: xx flicker xx cr. :hp: xx ducking xx skyscraper, :b: + :lk:+:mk:+:hk: (flicker) :lp: :db:(flicker cancel) cr. :hp: xx flicker :lp: :db: (flicker cancel) cr. :hp: xx :mk: sonic fang.

edit: you can insert loops of foxhunt xx ex hellfire, cr.:hp: xx ducking before skyscraper until out of meter. 1 loop = 568 damage for 1 meter. 2 loops = 617 damage for 2 meters. 650 for 3 meters.

Varies, I was able to pull off 426. The purpose of my other combo was to see **how many flicker cancels in one combo **are possible. So far I have been able to do 3 with the Second combo I posted flicker cancel peekaboo into ducking body.

Smart move to do the flicker as first juggle and get 2 follow up ground bounce cr.:hp:s.

If you want to make the max possible no meter combo it might be this combo but with a counter hit fox hunt to start it instead of the jump in.

There are a couple other meter options that work as well. I’m not sure which would wind up doing the most damage after damage scaling.

Alternately. for style options: You could do " CH fox hunt, :hp: xx flicker xx cr. :hp: xx fox hunt xx EX fox hunt xx EX hellfire, cr.:hp: xx ducking skyscraper , EX flicker, flicker :lp: :db:(flicker cancel) cr. :hp: xx flicker :lp: :db: (flicker cancel) cr. :hp: xx :mk: sonic fang

FOR EVEN MORE STYLE… I just tested this next one and it works:

Counter Hit foxhunt, ducking body xx ducking hook xx flicker cancel, cl.:hp: xx flicker cancel xx cr. :hp: xx ducking skyscraper, EX flicker, EX flicker, flicker :lp: :db:(flicker cancel) cr. :hp: xx EX flicker, flicker :lp: :db: (flicker cancel) cr. :hp: xx :lk: sonic fang

How’s that for a fun 3 meter style combo. 11 flicker punch hits mixed in. Stupidly difficult, it will be my goal to land it in a real match someday.
