These are my thoughts on your Grand Finals Guiseppe.
Why did you stop the grab/kara grabs after the first match? After game 1 every time you hit him you did the same series of cr.lp, st.mp, light slash. You could have mixed it up with kara grabs/over head stomp at least.
Cant empty focus vs bison, I cant break the habbit of doing it but you just cant do it vs him ha.
Me personally if im playing vs a character that has good escape options and i want to lock them down i sacrifice a little damage and end my combos with the overhead stomp (especially if there reversals are 4 frames or higher). After the stomp oni has a simple safe jump set up vs 4 frame reversals and higher, you could have done that with (this is guessing) a tatsu OS/f.mk OS/f.hp OS. Il actually lab this today. Oni doesnt have follow ups after dp or tatsu really so the pressure is hard to keep up.
The best OS i found against bison after getting the hard knock down from the head stomp was safe jump mp, hk.tatsu. Catches all teleports except the one that goes directly behind you and beats all wake up psycho crushers (bisons head stomp obviously gets him out of this). If anyone else has some bison set ups please do share. I know OMH shared a thread a little while on here with bison tech.
I know a good OS when you have U1 and you get a forward throw (in the corner) you can dash up twice, then J.MP OS the up version of U1. (QCFx2 + KKK) Catches all options except for teleport I think. But not many Bisons use Teleport on wake-up when they have meter imo, so it’s good to have that in your pocket.
I could be wrong, but I feel like you could do the same setup, or even something similar after a Stomp midscreen, I’d have to lab that though and see.
Of course this is just for U1 when you have it, the OS you stated is the best for meterless on Oni’s end. Good stuff.
So, I went to a small tournament in Canton, OH on Saturday and I managed to get second. And I later played in a small character locked first to 5 money match against a player.

Couple notes I jotted down for the second rose match
I noticed you got focus happy going for level 1 focus counter hits. Rose read that and on top of that cr.mp xx sprial is an amazing focus breaker also happens to be her main pressure string in footsies. Bait reversal and punish. You caught on that she was exspiraling every chance she got but you jumped the reversals rather than Frame data on all versions of spiral.
More aggressive with follow up after f+lk trades with most normals.
]I’d say your oni has some of the best most consistent execution I’ve seen from an oni player probably 9/10 as far as I’m concerned when it comes to combo optimization choices. You have your set plays, safe jump and mixups down pat and I’m guessing that’s due to the fact that you end most of your punishes in smash which gives you the hard knockdown and you pretty much never missed your fadc combos early on. I like your use of fake cross up / empty jump into cr.lk other than when it puts you in the corner I’m definitely stealing that.
Your spacing and ground game need a little work you tend to start your offence with jumpins more than you probably should when you think your opponent won’t anti air which is a bad habit that a lot of people have. It goes unpunished more than it should have in most of your matches. Meanwhile your anti airing was better than your opponents but most of the time they couldn’t jump in on you because they we getting rushed down. If your looking for a good example of an oni with a ground game watch sanfords recent matches. He’s got ridiculous spacing and footsies.

Sanford kelly placed very well (2nd) at his local tournament, losing to smug to be put into losers but coming back in losers finals finally beating smug and resetting the bracket against k brad but came up short.
What do you guys think of his new oni playstyle?
To me he makes some…questionable decisions but he makes it work so idk, if it works it works. Also he seems much more liberal about his meter usage, using dp fadc back ALOT, crouch medium kicks into fireball fadc to put his opponent in a 50/50 and get out of the corner and the meaty stomps that actually got blocked he fadc for the lvl 1 counter crumple.
What I think his reasoning was: Oni makes a lot of meter over a match. He can spend that meter to make unsafe options safe and take away opponents options or at least make them second guess themselves thus messing up punishes. If he has four bars hes free to crouch mk fireball fadc into A.stomp.B.dp C.throw or d.block. The first two usually unsafe options he can make safe if the opponent guessed right. So he uses his meter to maintain or regain momentum in the match, instead of saving it for the touch of death combos we all try to land.
