It is critical that you pay attention! The Nova combo thread

You know what is crazy, I have been messing with some set ups like that with dash up j.L but i never thought to do the Wolverine…that is kind of OD…I guess it’s something to consider but to be honest, if they got hit with the IOH going up, they more than likely would have gotten hit with it coming down (his regular overhead) and you can get a full combo off that without xfactor.

It depends on which instant overhead you’re doing, the D,U,D L one is 100% unblockable on reaction IMO, but the normal jump one that most people use is if you’re godlike. A true instant overhead L definitely isn’t. Doesn’t hit some crouchers though.

Random side note, Nova/Frank Lv.5/Ammy gets 1.09Mil for two bars using that Innsayne double H loop.

I’ve been trying to come up with more damaging/swaggier combos post-ground throw, but utilizing the unfly glitch doesn’t seem to add that much and I can always get the kill and enough meter to kill without it. That said here’s a cool side-switching one:

I have some Nova/Frank/Ammy stuff that i finally feel is worth filming. 1.17 mil BnB with Frank, 1.16 mil off a Zombie Swing, 1.05 Mil from an airthrow, 1.05 mil from an air MMS, 1.15 meter positive with Nova (Frank already 5) buuuut, i can’t find my camera battery

Edit: Just realised i’m posting Frank stuff in the Nova forum, i view them in some weird symbiotic relationship apparently.

Fly/Unfly combo in the OP is very, very hard to execute. Doing j.hp four times with the fly cancels is ridiculous because it keeps turning into Human Rocket Punch or Team Aerial Combo. It’s highly damaging, but I’m hoping there’s a similar combo that’s a little (a lot) easier to use.

Uh… just practice it. Finesse the motions.

Over shoot the fly/unfly motion and wait before you press H after flying/unflying. You’re getting rocket punch because you’re pressing H too fast and you’re getting TAC because you’re trying to do the fly/unfly motion perfect and you end up pressing S on down back instead of back so the game doesnt register the full motion. Tiger Knee the motion and you will always get the actual qcb.

Why does it look like he moves forward after the unfly H? Looks like it would help with the spacing a lot.

!!! I thought I was the only one that noticed!! I have no idea how that happened because he doesnt input a dash…at least not intentionally

I dunno… I thought maybe as a pad player you’d be able to figure it out but I can’t really tell haha. Maybe he’s just inputting down-forward slightly after the unfly?

I think he meant of tenboss playing the team, not just the combo. I mostly just saw him in casuals, and the one tournament match I saw was not streamed.

Can someone help me figure out a Nova extension using Taskmaster H. Arrows assist? I can’t find squat, and all I can get is a grab reset opportunity, which isn’t very strong…

Any suggestions?

The standard works, just a slightly different timing. Nova Slam+Call Taskmaster, H, Cent Rush M, Cent Rush H.

If you’re talking about the vertical arrows, something like, Nova Slam, S+Call Taskmaster, j.H, j.S, Cent Rush L to Super Works as well

I can’t seem to get the timing with the arrows after the Nova Slam. I either do Cent Rush M too early and whiff, or I do it too late and H whiffs.

I never really thought about the Vertical arrows thing, which is weird since I have something like that for Sentinel. Thanks! :tup:

H. Arrows meaning Horizontal? Do a simple BnB (if you start with his IOH into H loops, only do j.HS upon relaunching), land, f.H delay Taskmaster Assist s.H xx M Rush ~ H Rush. Getting juggles off Task arrows is a little tricky but it’s doable if you don’t OD on HSD with the first few hits.
