Nova can corner carry easily thanks to j.s
I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
No I need the side switch to *avoid * corner carrying because it’s *too *easy haha. On a lot of bodies, not being in the corner makes Frank’s DHC whiff even when Nova just does Cent Rush L into Nova Force.
EDIT: Oh the “so easy in the corner” was in reference to meter-building when the combo already starts in the corner–no need for a side switch there, but then again it’s not really a corner carry.
Why don’t you wanna use the ground bounce?
He wants to save it for Frank for massive minimum damage scaling goodness.
And oh my is it tasty.
Btw, I started using slide + Frank a higher percentage of the time (although I was using it fairly often before), and it definitely helps me get the DHC during the fly series more often. I’m also throwing a crumple in there, which doesn’t build a bar, but it’s not too far off. Might be the best I can find though, so cheers
It’s a good 3/4ths or a bar or so which is pretty tasty and likely to be enough in a lot of scenarios. It also gives you enough time to air series into TAC infinite if you want to take that chance to give Frank bundles of meter and kill while still having gotten chainsaws. The rocket punch I’ve never bothered with due to the timing/relability of hit confirming, and more importantly my chainsaw combo after the raw tag is pretty fickle. consistency consistency consistency
I don’t know which thread to put this but if you ever feel stupid
You can Nova Slam OTG, S, Energy Javelin, XFC and mixup
I’m sure it’s already known but it’s really stupid
EDITAdditionally I found out the raw tag throw combo does not work on Ammy because she does not experience a very hard knockdown. Any other characters that do this that I should know?
Instead of spending XF you can do S xx Energy Javelin xx Speed Tackle.
And I dunno about a different knockdown time, but her weight and her weird sausage-ass hitbox probably screw things up the most.
Just a silly little thing I found if any lab rats want something to play around with. It seems like it would be quite difficult to do enough dmg w/ this to justify burning a 3rd meter, but:
With Nova-b Doom-a Dante-a, do a Nova BNB of your choice, end with PotNF xx DHC Sphere Flame, then I found you can also xx DHC DT, teleport, jS and end up with them hard knocked down in the corner. A Dante scrub at best, I really have no ideas how to push the HSD from there, but likely you’ve got your wall bounce still, and an unused assist that can potentially reset a ground bounce.
Probably not worth it, and no one else even uses the team that I know of (its very good, btw), but when I tried the DT DHC and landed that jS, I was like, “ill bet someone on SRK could push this well over a mil.” Lol
And yeah, I am fully aware one could just doom TAC inf instead.
Dante does piss damage at minimum scaling. And you’d be building no meter in the process. Wouldn’t be worth it.

Figured. Just kinda neat that it worked. Lol
What is Nova’s instant overhead(and how do you do it?)
Also how do you land the fly/unfly combo midscreen? For me it only works in the corner.

super jump, ADD, j.L
It’s based off timing. Use s.H instead of cr.H and just experiment
@dougiie-OVRKLL
I’m seriously thinking of making an FAQ thread for this. It’s just to clean things up for newcoming players
Doing the fly unfly mid screen is literally just about making sure you super jump up forward and adjust the rhythm. Word though, that would be a good look. Along with a little BnB encyclopedia
Not sure if this has been discussed yet, but I found a set-up into his infinite in x-factor lvl 3 the other day.
(corner) LMHS, j. H xxx Fly, j. MHS, F+H, S xxx TK Energy Javelin, (M Centurion Rush)xN
Do centurion rush the instant you can move and you should catch him in the air. Pretty easy and useful since you don’t have to spend bar with him to kill.
In the spirit of asking stuff that’s been asked before, can someone remind me how we combo off a Speed tackle? I know its around but can’t find it (nor do it). Was it a single hit down input or something? I feel like that’s what someone said but I can’t get it.
Also, you guys sj for the IOH? Ive always done it w/ nj, and despite sj typically being a faster lift off, nj ADD+L is still hella fast. I changed my whole button config to be able to do this, and toally worth it (though trade off is I can never have Nova or Mag on the same team as Taskmaster. Oh well lol). Can’t really plink in the traditional sense on a 6 face button pad, but I set ‘fierce’ to M+H and ‘roundhouse’ to L, and just roll my thumb down them. Was glorious. Like I’d been fighting in a war with a spoon and someone said, “Dude, try it w/ a machine gun.”
single hit then down input after speed tackle, from there start mashing l until one hits then have fun. or if they are already in the air you can burn factor or dhc to dante after 2 or 3 hits for a pickup.

To combo off of Speed Tackle you make the follow up hit go down and then jab for the confirm. As for the overhead, I play pad and do down up down L
Beautiful, thx guys. I tried the down up down before and it was disatrous for me. BUT, normal jump works really really fast. Im not gonna claim it’s faster, but I’d actually be surprised if it’s any less fast. You can add from a very low height. Dunno if sj is used more due to fewer lift off frames or reaching minimum height more quickly, but if the former, nj lifts off off in fewer inputs, and if the latter, the difference is 100% negligible. So I’m fully satisfied with it, AND it’s easier.
