Jeez, Why are so much people dissing the guy?
He’s created a site with perhaps one of the greatest art collection for fighting games.
And guess what he does it for free (so far I know…),
do u have to pay to use it? No, if you had to than you had something to complain about.
The guy has a own life besides it, so be happy such sites exist cause these people offer their free time to create them for our pleasure.
No offense to anyone but I just wanted to make a point.
Diek, I really don’t think you need to worry about sounding offensive because what you’re saying is very well valid. :tup: Apparently the people that I’ve seen razzing on Frankie just sound like, to me, a bunch of haters. Odds are they’re resentful of him because of his success w/ TFG.
As one of several big contributors to The Fighter’s Generation, I will tell you this guy has an incredible sense of dedication & passion to not only his site but to fighting games in general, especially from an artistic aspect. If you’ve seen the opening to SF Anniversary there’s a message during the SF III previews where it states “True fighting is ART”. The metaphor of comparing the two elements is what that site basically stands for in terms of both viewing & admiring fighting games not just as an everyday hobby, but as an expression of ART. Not everybody is fortunate enough to view things from that perspective and Frankie’s site gives people and fighting game fans the oppertunity to view it as such.
I for one am very proud and honored to be associated with Fighter’s Generation, especially for that reason:clap:
First off, I figured the issue of this thread was actually over seeing as this thread started sometime in what, August 18? It’s now October 6 .I’m sorry that I didn’t troll a thread that I presumed to be dead and old for your fucking benefit. Talking about “beating on a dead horse.” Theres a significant gap in posting from 8-30 to 9-27. This is old fucking shit. I posted what I felt like I needed to and left it at that. Why the fuck should I continue on something thats already been resolved and dealt with? I don’t care who believes Frankie is in the right, he made a fucking thread an entire thread to point out one flaw, thats fucked up no matter how you look at it as if to discredit all of LeSean Thomas’ work on the back issue because of one mistake. And for you come in the thread late as hell (fucking yesterday) when its “old” and try to revive shit doesn’t make you any better. It had nothing to do with Udon. It has nothing to do with Frankie’s success with TFG, it had to do with the fact he felt the need to make an entire thread about one mistake. oh yeah just because frankie pointed out a mistake does not mean he dissin the artist infact now the artist acknowledges that he has made a mistake and laughs it off ,maybe is impressed someone looked at his art in great detail. GET OVER IT

My post is not about who was the first to revive the thread but about people who for some reason seem to think I left the thread because Udon agreed with him. I left the thread because it was old. There was no need to talk about anything and I see your post insinuating I’m cowering because Udon agreed. What the fuck is that? I could care less about Super Saiyan V’s post. To me to make an entire thread on a mistake is bullshit, maybe directing it Udon themselves would’ve been a better idea than to exploit him on a BBS. All the work that an artist endures in Sequential and for someone to seemingly shed light to everyone else about a flaw is fucking stupid. I’d be pretty pissed if someone went out of their way to nitpick about my work that put alot of effort into sadly enough this is what I’ll have to deal with eventually entering into the Sequential Art field…people trying to find anything they can say to make someone lower than them.

What point would there have been for me to post after the first page? I said what I had reason to say, then Time_Stop started to bitch at me so I retorted. There was no point for me to keep an argument going about something I already expressed my opinions on and I definitely didn’t feel like arguing with Time_Stop simply because he flames me because I said something bad about KOF Maximum Impact. There was no reason to post. I’m in here posting now because people are making assumptions about my reasoning of not posting in the thread when they don’t even know why seeing as they into a thread A MONTH LATER.
Everyone knows that we all make mistakes, theres no reason to point them out to everyone to emphasize it. Exploit may not have been the best choice to describe his actions. To correct my thought, I feel that he choose to show everyone a flaw that would’ve been better received if done in a different way. Why post on a forum to fans who actually like the comic? Why take away from the aesthetic, especially the fanbase. To deliberately post that on a forum where thousands of people are doesn’t sound like a good idea to me. Give it a rest? Super Saiyan V was the one who revived the thread, not me. As far as anyone else knew the thread was finished. I just think that when it comes to calling someone out on something there is a proper way to do it and that if anything random people shouldn’t be coming out of nowhere exposing faults especially when they themselves have flaws.

If you personally feel that this site is dead and you’re offended by people reviving it then why bother messin’ with it? In your terms that would make you just as guilty. Now as for the LeSean mistake, there’s this little thing when it comes to drawing that many of us like to call ARTISTIC CRITIQUE!!! Pointing out the flaws in art only helps that artist get better, unless of course he/she wants to bitch about it, thus then the opposite happens. I’m not tryin’ to dis you I’m just informing you on this little fact that you may not have known. I hope you have a better understanding about it and can stop acting so bitter, 'kay?

OMG why did you not talk like this first time? now i can actually respect what ur saying without all that swearing! and now that i look back time_stop did have a grudge against you giving you a reason to leave.and thank you for not telling us how hard it is being a sequential artist;)the only place i disagree with your point is the emphasis you say he used. he did not emphasise the mistake just enlightened us of it ,you could say he emphasised it by posting on a forum, but i think he had the best intentions, not to stain the name of the artist!
I’m planning to major in Sequential Art, so I understand what a critique is and how it does help someone to improve. I didn’t feel that it was right to do it here thats my reserve with the thread.

A lot of the stuff you say is the truth, and its cool, but a lot of the times you just go off on the most pointless and retarded things and you just won’t admit when you made a mistake. Frankie pointed out a legit mistake. Frankie seems to also know udoneko and udoneko himself has no problems with it. So why do you have sand in your vagina over this? If I was an artist, I would actually be flattered that someone caught a mistake I didn’t know, and thought enough of me to actually point out the mistake, while at the same time complimenting my work in general and my person. I’d take that as constructive criticism, grounded firmly with facts, and make sure to not repeat the mistake in the future. Obviously this was not done on purpose, but if these mistakes had kept cropping up, the comic would be seen as bush league, and that is a lot more detrimental than someone catching it early and helping in the long run. Also, you must have missed the test script page, where the guy nitpicks like crazy over the test pictures. I thought there was way more reason to be angry over that, but I noticed neither side had any problems and both sides had respect for each other. Nakoto, I think you’re missing that whole point. Just because someone points out a flaw, it does not mean they are putting down someone’s work, in some cases it means the exact opposite.
