A pretty relatively new genre if you want to call it that, many don’t.
This is a very unique, ambiguous, and broad genre.
Ambiguous in the fact that it combines themes like cyberpunk, dystopia, nostalgia, consumerism while at same time being a sort of satire.
Since this genre pretty easy to produce and may at times seem unoriginal there is a lot of variety as to it’s interpretation because it consists of samples with little editing(most of the time).
meaning a lot of it is gonna suck and it’s not for everyone.
With that said let’s get started.

Yeah I think it’s worthy of its own thread. Could we also post chill wave, synth wave and retro wave stuff as well?

i think retro is fine considering it is heavily inspired by 80’s, 90’s sound, but i would like the focus to be vapor.

That Deep Fantasy album is amazing. Been listening to it a lot this week.

I wouldn’t mind trying my hand in making some vapor wave stuff. I will need to listen to more of it to get a feel for the common traits in the genre.
