seriously GJ (best sa) is most important thing to learn in yun’s game…but also develope a ground game outside GJ makes you alot stronger opponent
True enough.
Just out of curiosity I wonder where SA2 Yun actually stands in tier-wise. Any ideas?
Somewhere between Ryu and Oro maybe?
learn Yun with SA2 and once you start beating everyone then switch to SA3. Mainly because a lot of new Yun players don’t know shit about Yun except Geneijin. You’ll be much better if you get a solid Yun before worrying as much about sick Geneijin combos.
BUt SA3 is really hard to learn…i’ve been tryin to do SA3 but i never get it= =
im always droping or just can’t even get the opponent into the air…
im such a stupid noob
I like to use SA1 the you-hou thing! anyways if you want to show off learn SA3, but if want a safe game, go with the sa2, cause it’s three bars!!!
So :S
Genei Jin is just one but its small and really easy to charge
from my experience I turn on a least 2 genei jins per round, you really dont need another bar with genei jin
Lol
Just… no…
I use SA1, I used it since i started playing yun. I got some really damaging combos with it, ask anyone from the old GT. In the last GT tourney i played rickys chun for the first time with it and almost beat him. If i had beaten him i would had been the only GT player left in the tourney :wasted:
Good for you…
SA2 is solid.
Seriously, name a good player that wins consistently with just sa2 or 1 with yun? Someone said mester, but he plays with sa3 when he wins tourneys (and he is the master with the kara-palm).
doesnt mean that SAI or SAII aren’t solid supers. like someone said before… they are just overshadowed by GJ. I agree GJ is better than SAI or SAII in most, if not all cases, but that doesn’t mean SAII or SAI suck.
So basicly, when it comes to Yun’s supers, its like choosing between a knife (Sa2), a katana (Sa1), and a shotgun(geni-jin). A knife and a katana can still be used as a weapon, but a fucking shotgun? You would be stupid not to use it!
People who play SA1 and SA2 do it cause they cant understand GJ
Thread Revival!
Ok. I know this thread is old as, but I wanted to ask a question about Yun’s SA1 and I didn’t want to make a new thread if one had already been made therefore…
My question is: Does Yun’s UOH link to SA1 if the UOH is done on a waking opponent so that it hits on the way down? I did this to someone the other day but neither of us could confirm that it was a legitimate link/combo. Any enlightening thoughts are appreciated. :bgrin:
:d: Thank you sir! :clapdos: I will keep that advice in mind.
yes,it works
remember the follow up to the SA 1 : mp shoulder hp dash punch (if memory serves me right)
i like using SA 1 and 2 every now and again
without geneijin you have to play a lot better with the rest of his stuff (dive kicks, normals, etc) so it’s a good challenge and a good way to improve the rest of his game
Sourai Rengeki is a top-5 super.
That’s the right attitude. I can’t believe the fuss kicked up earlier in this thread by people who couldn’t believe that other folks just might find something to learn in Yun’s other supers.
The other supers might not be as good technically, but then again neither is a character like Twelve, but that doesn’t stop Yamazaki.
As you said, by trying Yun’s SA1 and SA2 at the very least you are forced to tighten your overall play in ways which doesn’t consist of just mashing cr.mp. By working on a good game with Yun’s other supers as well as SA3, you will only become much better. I personally find a generally solid and clever Yun far more impressive than a load of Kara-Palms or Keeper-Jin.
Yal are on serious crack if you think you can play yun with genei jin and not be familiar with exactly how all his options and pokes work.
and if you think genei jin yun is all bout cr mp mashing, you’re probably not that good of a yun player
now you know how i feel about people complaining about chun
