Totally not. You should just move by jumping forward and backward.

How is it that you’ve been on this site for 4 years and are as trash as the Venezuelan economy?

I’ll actually answer your question.

Yes it’s good, but you have to ask yourself why you are doing it. The most important reason during footsies is to get your opponent to throw out a normal as you enter the space it would normally hit, and then walk out and whiff punish them.

It is also good for confusing your opponents movement, if I’m going to jump in on you, I want to know exactly where you are going to be. If you are a moving target sometimes the jump-er will overextend and the opponent will get a walk under or a walk back.

There are many examples, but it’s simply about making your opponent do something stupid.

Also holding still is sick sometimes too.

Honestly I prefer characters without legs, hold down medium punch and medium kick and your character has their legs amputated in the loading screen. It’s levelled up my footsie game so much, you get the secret title card “Break a leg!” if you manage to get 10 wins in a row in ranked with it as well, and 10,000 FM. It’s worth it dude.

I think he’s a displaced Minecraft or WoW player.

thanks man

This is what… the third time you’ve posted basically the same question? Knock it off.

All his threads follow the same pattern:

  • see pro player doing or telling to do something
  • remove any context explaining why they do so
  • ask if that thing is good (as if we were more competent than said pro player)

I can’t wait for “is pressing buttons to attack a good idea” or “is holding back to block a good strategy”.
