Yeah but in Japan they don’t mess with drug charges. Rather then mess with you they will cut you out or rearrange the whole game. Potential abuse charges or even straight up caught with child pornography (destroyed all hopes of future Kenshin purchases for me) they are much more lenient.
And in terms of Funimation or Bandai Namco, I doubt they are going to bother redoing it if they already paid for it.

Honestly, after watching the actual deposition. The cherry picked stuff generally doesn’t hold up. The only thing that does is him hiring escorts. Ron Toye and Monica Rial’s depositions on the other hand were poor. Ron was just terrible, he was clearly lying through his teeth. Dude said “I don’t recall” so much. Which is suspicious on it’s own but when they have evidence of you doing things “you don’t recall” you are hanging yourself.
Monica’s was better than his but she contradicted herself multiple times during her testimony. The biggest dagger she seemed to have was the alleged attack from 2007 and she’s told like three version of that story. She talked about Stan Dahlin previously, after he came out and said he didn’t know what she was talking about. She changed the story so that he wouldn’t have seen anything. First she said it happened after dinner. Then she said it happened before dinner and the worst thing is this. She admits to going back to his room later that night.
I’m sorry I don’t buy it. I had an ex that was raped. It was years after the facts when she told me and she complete came apart. A girl I dated in college had similar situation to what Monica claimed. Some dude tried to force himself on her. She called me at 3am. She spent 2 hours crying in my arms. She wouldn’t tell me who it was, but I was beyond pissed. I think I figured it out. She went ghost whenever this one dude was around. She wouldn’t go near dude in a group setting in public. So I have a hard time believing that she would go back to his room the same night. I’m sorry that just doesn’t fly fam.
If this is what they have against him. He’s going to win his case against them easy. Funimation is cooked as well.

Everyone in the case is messy. The character he portrays has fallen apart… Even if he wins the fact he’s been exposed is gonna taint his career. He always portrayed himself as a holier than thou Christian married man… It’s clear that’s not the case. I don’t care either way, I’m not personally involved, Im not one his supporters or even enemies. I just enjoy the whole thing from afar. Literally the only thing I enjoyed him in is fma, broly voice isn’t anything special to me. So I have no dog in this either way.
I think for me what I’m taking away is how oblivious his answers come off to me. How out of touch with how he sees what he thinks is fine and normal honestly isn’t.
This situation is less about Vic for me and more about Twitter lynch mobs. No one should lose their job without credible accusations. This situation is a complete cluster fuck. When I first got into it, I just figured another creep was getting exposed. Then I kept noticing how all the “evidence” kept coming up as altered or fake. Once the fake swatting incident happened, I knew the fix was in. One of the people involved in the Funimation investigation faked a swatting incident. I mean all this shit over a VA? The only thing I really knew Vic from was Star Trek Continues. I’d never even realized he voiced Broly or Edward until all this occurred.

He still has some work but it is fraction of what it was. It still boggles mind with amount of people lying. I mean I just saw another accusation against him get blown up. He allegedly approached another VA at a panel, initiated a tango, and supposedly ran his hand up her thigh. Video of the panel gets released. She approached him for the dance and no groping took place. So she says its the wrong Con. Then when people point out that it is the exact con she mentioned. Suddenly the video didn’t cover everything. I can only imagine how this would have played out prior to people recording everything.

I agree but it’s being blown out of proportion. My resting is expression makes me look annoyed. People used to tell me to smile all the time. I didn’t make a federal case out of it.
