I don’t think this really works but I’m just thinking it off the top of my head.
When your other character is getting hit in AHVB while you have strider activate your orbs and start pressing lp to shoots rings out so that they hit Cable. Can anyone confirm if this works or not? I never tried it before but I’m taking a guess that it works.
If you can throw rings, that means you aren’t being hit by the beam. If you aren’t being hit, just do a damaging combo on Cable. The beam stops when he gets hit.
ahvb swallows rings, and by the time youre done blocking AHVB, orbs are gone. you have to have been orbed for a while already before youre allowed to block something as fast as ahvb. in all other instances youre getting zapped, but you recovered from the lag on the super and are blocking but your orb timer is already running , then you block AHVB, and your orbs end. :wasted:
Akuma, Spiral, and Dark Sak can teleport out. That’s it. The next best option would be to DHC into Proton Cannon or anything else that beats it. Anything else is a 50/50 gamble at best.
Good example is TT GF 2 (17B on preppys site) I think its Duc vs sanford. Duc unloads 4 bars on commando making sure to aim down to stop storm getting out.
I recall seeing an old, OLD vid of I think Julius Jackson vs MAG… MAG is for some reason using Cable.
Anyways, MAG is ahvbing the assist, and Julius apparently pushblocks halfway through the first ahvb, and then sjs out before the 2nd, saving his assist. I’m not sure what the specifics were, whether Cable was too far off the ground or whether he simply did it too slowly. Either way, it stuck out in my memory.
it seems like people forgot magneto’s frame kill to hailstorm on m/s/xxx teams…normally onli time u get it tho is when cable is trying to chip the rest of your mag or panging your assist, but yeah, you can pushblock the first beam and have enough time to tempest hail and ahvb will trade with storm’s rocks and you are ok =)
