Is there a lack of players on PSN?

I just got a ps3 recently and when I try to search for some matches, no one seems to be playing. Is it my connections or what? I doubt there is a lack of players on PSN but I don’t know…

What are your search terms like?

Speed should be Turbo - not Turbo 2, or really anything else.

Time should be 99 or infinite. I prefer 99. Who the hell plays 30 or 60 second Marvel matches?? :wonder:

You’ll get a few more matches with voice than without.

I think it might be because almost nobody are still at G3, so you don’t have many people to lift you up to G2. I have the same problem:(

if you’re playing HDR, bad news: netcode is a mess, so, don’t try looking for custom matches, i guess it doesn’t work, just search for matches with default settings.

if you’re playing SF IV, well idk, SF IV has better netcode than HDR.

My bad. I was talking about SFIV. Also, thanks to the person that neg repped me for asking for help… I didn’t find a thread for this so I decided to post a thread about it.

EDIT** I try looking for any matches. Player, championship, ranking… Nothing pops up except maybe an occasional 3 bar person.

I’ve come to find out the bar signals dont mean much in sf4… i’ve played ppl with one bar and have had no lag, and then played someone with full bars or just one bar from being full, and the game was laggy

We’ll in sf4 online, in champs mode, it takes me at least 10 times to keep pressing search again until i find one person

Ok, now i know you’re talking about SF IV, well yes, in deed searching is a real piece of shit, you have to play against cpu in arcade mode(or story mode), but before, you have to set (pressing R1 button in main screen menu) network fights(sorry i don’t remember the exact name) you’ll have three choices:

Player Match
Ranked Match
Championship Match

you have to set what kind of match you want to play while you’re playing against CPU in Story mode, trust me is the fastest way to find matches and not get tired of pressing the X button in order to find ranked, player or championship matches lol.
