TRUTH. Personally, I would love to see some insane fans out there create an edit of the series where they remove as much filler as possible. Honestly, you could probably cut out 100 episodes worth of footage easily.

As far as great battles go, Iâd have to agree with everyone who mentioned Goku vs. Vegeta. The Freeza battle was good, but it was less personal and edged further and further out of Dragon Ballâs comic fantasy and closer to sci-fi. Goku and Vegeta was David vs. Goliath, the lowly peasant vs. the greatest of the aristocrats. And Vegetaâs reasons for fighting were a little more complex and mysterious. He was willing to wipe out the only remaining members of his race in order to enforce his own need to be superiorâand he was very nearly validated, had it not been for the intervention of the other Earthlings. Terrific battle.
The Freeza battle wins points for giving Vegeta a little slice of redemption, plus showing the other side of the coin: Goku having to finally put an end to a villain who refused to be redeemed.
Favorite fight? Itâd have to be fights from the Worldâs Strongest, especially Master Roshi who got to show off for a tiny bit.
For those of us that care, the Dragon Ball DS demo is up on the Nintendo Channel on your Wii. The whole demo is basically a tutorial, but itâs a fun one while it lasted. Iâm definitely gonna pick this up after Chrono Trigger and my next Phoenix Wright game.

I always enjoyed the fights more in DB than DBZ. Especially the Mercenary Tao vs. Goku fights, Tien vs. Goku, and Picollo vs. Goku.

Freeza was such a dick. and so was his family. which makes me wonder, if freeza has a whole family of whatever race he is, then presumably wouldnt there be a planet/area of space inhabited by beings as powerful as freeza?

But my fav fight would have to be Gohan vs Cell
for many reasons, 1. All of the guys got to help out (except trunks he was dead) 2. Gohan punching andriod 18 out of him was dope 3. This was the last of Gohanâs coolness, he became a herb when he got older.:rock::rock:
YeahâŚthey all got to help the Cell Jrâs guide their fists into their faces. The only one really who I think was worth anything during that segment (Iâll exclude Goku only on the grounds that he tried to help Gohan exert more power after his death but even then I donât think Gohan wouldnât have been able to do anything if it wasnât for the opening that was created) was Vegeta. Vegeta was the only one out of the other jobbers who was able to do anything physically significant during that fiasco.
No Iâm talking about when the had to lend the powers to Gohan

EDIT - Goku vs. Cooler was pretty rad, too. It sticks out in my head as one of the more creative battles, showcasing how powerful these characters actually were (Cooler darting through the water, punching Goku in the gut while the water spreads out from the impact was epic).
Iâm going to mention Goku vs. CellâŚThe fight between them 2 was pretty good with both of them giving each other bluffs but more specifically for Goku giving us one of the most hilarious cell moments

that particular scene was epic because it showed cell being human like the rest of the Z fighters and goku being the threat to the planet 
i hope they make a saga that has goku gain his saiyan mind back and enslaving the planet, like make some bad guys come and cause it to happen making them have to team up with the Z fighters
