In Holland they showed those dubs with terrible subtitles. One episode was called “A collision course”. They translated course like a course you would take(two different words in Dutch)… Man that was lame.

Lots of goofy quotes from Tenshinhan (I refuse to call him… you know) in the old school FUNimation dub.
Nappa entertains himself during the two hour wait by engaging military jets in battle, tearing through them and causing them to explode. During all the chaos, Tenshinhan yells, “I can see their parachutes… they’re alright!”
thank god. if they’re not gonna cast him as asian and instead cast him as a white dude who gets to bang a hot asian girl yet again, then i hope they fuck the rest of it up as well.
I’ve been posting a lot of hate in this thread all of a sudden(though the dub/edit deserves it), so I’d just like to say: Dragon Ball is awesome!

Lots of humor (and edgy humor, too…sexual innuendo jokes FTW!). Goku takes the cake for not knowing female anatomy and constantly questioning about it.

More importantly: GOKU WAS BEATABLE! Seriously, Goku gets to improve every now and then, but there’s always someone there who teaches him his limits. Hell, Goku never won the Tenkaichi Budokai until the end of DB, where he beat Piccolo (previously lost to Roshi/Jackie Chun and Tenshinhan).
I’m actually rewatching it right now… It is kinda hilarious. 
Yes yes yes all true, plus it had more interesting characters that weren’t just acting all ‘hey we’re badass so let’s blow shit up cuz WE’RE BADASS LOOKING’.

hey remember on Dragonball when Goku tells the old lady “how come your face is so wrinkly?” and then she’s like “Oh how dare you” and Bulma slides across the screen and knocks him in the head and goes “You can’t just say things to people like that are you crazy?” that has to be one of the funniest things I have ever seen on DB.
And both the Dragonball theme songs were dope

The part I liked more about DB was when some thief tried to steal the Dragon Balls from Goku by posing as a fortune teller, and told him “You have a couple of balls there, doncha?”
