Edit: Yeah now that I think about it duh, goes right with the name theme.
I think that would be the best solution.
However, in the Manga, right before the Androids (#19) show up on the island, Krillin says this to Bulma: “What happened to his tail? Did you cut it off?”
Of course, Bulma ignored the question entirely, but I’m guessing that was likely what took place. Either that, or he never had a tail at all.

Decided to rewatch the DBZ movies and so far-
Piccolo got the Worf treatment in the first 2 movies and was treated like a bitch in the 2nd one
Movie 3-
lol at Goku’s friends getting KOed off screen, and Goku being the one to defeat the warriors that beat them. Piccolo also does his Special Beam Cannon attack in this movie WITHOUT THE NEED TO CHARGE.
I find really funny how they quickly gather the Dragonballs in these movies.
Movie 4-
So much for Piccolo taking down a major henchmen who just happened to be the WEAKEST of the remaining 3.
…and why do they keep humiliating Krillin in these movies? He actually decides to take on Slug, and even yells ‘WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS TO ME?!’ when Slug bitch slaps him away. This movie must’ve be shown before Goku became a Super Saiyan since when Goku powers up near the end King Kai wonders if he’s become a Super Saiyan xD
…and what’s with the odd mentioning of Freeza and Slug being stronger than him? Goku was only able to beat him when Piccolo gave him his own Ki and combined were able to kill him. Heck I doubt that was even enough to beat Freeza 
Ah well off to watch the Cooler movies now.
I always did love the phrase “Killed him/her/it dead”. That shit’s so redundant it’s hilarious.
I loved the the first Cooler movie. Piccolo was the shit in that one.
Considering that Coola/Cooler’s henchmen were at least Recoome and/or Ginyu level strength, he’s worthy of those kills.
The ending of the first Coola/Cooler movie felt anti-climatic to me =/
In the 2nd Cooler movie-
Piccolo gets grabbed by one of the robots that starts shooting it’s gun at him and a HUGE cloud surronds him; how could tiny bullets do this big a cloud O_o
lol at Vegeta- He saves Goku from Cooler/Coola (how the heck did he reach the planet, did he use the Dragon Balls?), goes Super Saiyan and yet GETS HIS ASS KICKED easily by Cooler.
Only DBZ movie I saw was The World’s Strongest. That was back in the days when Goku wasn’t superly over powered and Yamncha and Krillin could still fight along side him. I remember the movie having an epic ending.
yeah Worlds Strongest was the shit. Goku running the gauntlet against that scientists fighters and then damn near everyone fighting against that giant robot at the end. Epic ending indeed.
I actually enjoyed Dead Zone as well if only for the pimp ass Piccolo intro near the end where he’s fighting that bad guy one on one.
Vegeta flew away in a space pod at the end, so I just assumed that was how he got there. What I didn’t understand about that movie was what was the purpose of bringing Master Roushi, Yajirobe, and Oolong? They don’t have anything to offer and actually become a liability.
Maybe the bullets were explosive? Don’t rule it out. Hell, in the super android movie (everyone knows about this one, it’s the one where Goku gets knocked out of SSj mode via a punch to the nuts), Goku throws a ki ball that hovers and spits more ki balls, like a machine gun turret. Cuz dbz is just that crazy.
^Heh I kinda just interpret it as them trying to make look like a ‘cool’ scene
My guess is that it’s for comic relief and just to HAVE the characters there. Ugh if my English were better I might give a better explanation why ^_^;

This is a very old animated movie with character designs that seem to be done by Toriyama. I’m watching it ATM, but if anyone else wants to watch it, let me know and I’ll PM you the movie ;3
