Kami more than likely didn’t want to say anything since he reluctant to merge with Piccollo. He was clearly showing that even when Piccollo came up there and said he didn’t like it either but he knew it had to be done and Kami STILL was like ‘nawww man…I da know’. So yeah I guess Kami was being a tad bit selfish but he knew that once they fused there wasn’t any going back.
Sorry, but I personally disagree with this; for one Toriyama made stuff up as he went along, so the whole carpet thing could’ve been something he made up just to speed things up.
BTW for those that are following Kai, how are Freeze-subs’ subs for the recent eps.? I’m close to getting all of SD & Taka’s subs but they only did up until 36.

In a way I’m both playing devil’s advocate but also saying something similiar to what you’re saying. I can’t remember any other period in what I’ve watched of DB and DBZ that Popo demostrated his carpet’s ability to move that fast besides then so the chances of Toriyama having thought about it at that point and then deciding not to do it fore suspense purposes is more slim.
Just cause he’s Kami doesn’t mean he doesn’t have pigmentation biases, too. He isn’t perfect.

Saiya- A play on the Japanese word for vegetables. I’ve always wondered what Saiya meant
Ginyu- Ginyu is Japanese for Milk XD
Jeese- A play on the word Cheese
Guldo- From Yogurt
Berter- Actually Butter in Japanese IIRC
Recoome- A play on how the word Cream (english) is written and pronounced in Japanese; Cu-Re-Mu=ReCuMu
Tsufuru- A play on how a Japanese person would pronounce Fruits (Furutsu/Frutso)

So I watched these last year with the new box sets coming out, and I really miss the english version of the music. The Japanese one was fine and all, but the english guitar solos and whatnot were just so BAD ASS. I remember listening to the songs that played during super saiyan 3 and 1 (when goku first hit them) on the bus going to and from school.

lol, yeah, all I ever watched of the anime was some of Funi’s dub of Ginyu Force eps. and the dubs for post Cell Saga up til the end.
I liked that the Ginyu Force did those poses, but the fact that they had a theme being played when they did it? FANTASTIC!

Finally, two things Team Four Star did that could really screw them if they did Dragon Ball Abridged:

I just dled Ep. 46 fansubbed and the Freeza fight is still going, ep. 47 has Freeza kill Goku’s friends and him going super saiyan.
So I think we can expect tHE Freeza battle to end by ep. 50~55.
Dragon Ball Kai is coming out on Blu Ray in May. It will be coming out in parts.
To add, it has been noted on numerous occasions that the english dub will be extremely accurate and faithful to the japanese version. I would consider picking up kai just to hear this, but I’m already getting the dragon boxes.
Wait, wait, wait…so they ARE redubbing again?
Well, to stick with the current dub, it’d be way off due to many timing changes, so it’s essential. They even announced the not really changing dub cast. A few vids leaked from Sakura Con this weekend, showing Piccolo saying “Makankosappo” instead of “Special Beam Cannon”. I’m kinda hype.
Edit:vvv They haven’t fully redubbed the series since the first 50 or so episodes for the Ultimate Uncut release. Even then they’d be happy to do it. DBZ is consistently their biggest money maker.
Yeah, they are TheSix. I would hate to be these people and have to keep dubbing it over and over again.
