Is there a Dragon Ball Z thread? If not

its strange how it’s slightly downgraded from T3 when it comes to hand to hand fighting, but i think most of the blasts etc are better balanced

its like tenkaichi 2.5 but ironed out with one or two fat creases like a dodgy camera and missing characters. it’s ok though cos we live in the download generation

^ kinda upsetting that they didn’t keep at least all the mechanics from T3 and then build on that :frowning:

Lol… Attack of the Saiyans has filler. Everything else I was playing I was like ‘mmhmmm…yess…feasible…mhmmmm…’ straight to ‘what what!?’ Not that it’s completely horrible save for the filler chapter that I’m on where Goku stops his training with King Kai and comes back to earth to help everyone find the dragon balls. That being said I’m still enjoying this game a lot.

Alright, I gotta ask. What is that Japanese thing that Jeice and Ginyu do half way through episode 34 of DBZ:Kai? I’ve seen Jiraiya and Ehonda do it.

It’s based on Kabuki theatre. A wealth of information can be found online, the hair swinging is from a Kabuki play called Shakkyo, the actual hair swinging move is called Keburi and is VERY difficult to do.

Fucking hilarious, those fights get me every time.

Nail Can’t take a punch

NOT IN THE FACE! ITS HOW AH MAKE MUH MONEY!

^ Well considering the fact that this backfist was from First Form Freeza…I’d say he took the punch fairly well for a fighter at his level. He took a lot worse during that whole thing too…having his ribs rearranged…arm torn off…

In case anyone was wondering, Dragon Box volume 1 is out and it is indeed awesome. If you love the original Japanese version, these are the sets to own.

If you’re a dub super fan, I can’t recommend it though. The dub was an afterthought and has audio syncing issues. And there’s no dub music. And you probably bought the previous 9 season sets.

how is the new box set that just came out? I heard it is supposed to correct the short comings of the “season” box sets. I have the first 2 seasons of Dragon Ball and I can’t wait for Season 3.

what do you mean the “short comings”?

The fact that they put it in wide screen when the original aspect ratio was 4:3, meaning they cut off the top and bottom of every scene. There was such a big stink about it from fans that they released the newest box set in full screen as opposed to wide screen. I also heard some of the colors were wrong in the season box sets, but I pretty much avoided those like the plague because they were wide screen.

are teh Dragon Box Sets a 1 for 1 ratio with the season sets(meaning dragon box 1 == Season 1)

According to Amazon no, the first season of DBZ is 925 minutes, the first Dragon Box is 1000 minutes.

Hopefully I can ghttp://forums.shoryuken.com/newreply.php?do=postreply&t=132770et the Dragon Box soon, I have been looking forward to it since it was announced, I probably won’t get around to watching it until I get all of the Dragon Ball seasons and make my way through it. I have a ton of DVD’s to go through.

I was just talking about them in the post above yours

As many times as it;s been released and as old as it is, even though I like dbz, I can’t see paying 50 or more bucks for less than the entire series. They’ve been milking this shit WAY too long. Maybe it will be cheaper the next “SUPER ultimate” release about 5 years from now. Cuz you know that’s what’s gonna happen.

and i’ll still buy it. the only season i dont have is seven. then there’s the yellow box release.

TFS Christmas Classics!
