Same here. Stallone & Co are great too, but i’m also an old school JCVD fan.
Cyborg for example makes my all-time favorites list. Don’t let the name fool ya, it has almost nothing to do with robots lol. Post-apocalyptic goodness.

It’s among the last that reserved juvenile objectification to the adult-aged female cast.
Damn, Now I wanna watch a JCVD movie, question is which do I choose tonight? lol
Is there any question? Double Impact.
It had JCVD playing opposite JCVD. It was the first movie he helped write, and the first thing he did was put himself in it twice.
My dad took me to see MK in theaters. Just after Cage cuts the top of Scorpion’s head off (which I’m like “!!!” through) my dad leans over and goes, “Hey Vince, this movie sucks. You want to get out of here?”
From a long line of trolls, I.
Flashin’ liights, on the dance flo’.
The DJ says my name as I make my intro.
The place is packed; nowhere to find a seat.
But I don’t worry, 'cause I sits in VIP
(Must be the money.)
Like this comment if you actually saw Street Fighter:The Movie in theaters!
I can proudly say as young as I was, i saw it and loved it!

Cyborg but it might be tough to find. If you’re a netflix user, “The Quest” and “Hard Target” are on there. Both good.
Yup was 12 at the time. I remember being in awe during the opening scene where Bison kills the soldiers.
edit: Whoa that was 18 years ago.
Saw this one in theaters too.
I bought it for 8 dollars on blu-ray but haven’t watched it yet
The fact that Raul Julia played his part as if the source material wasnt insane is reason enough.
Does it count if I watched it, in its entirety, at a Future Shop while skipping school way back in ancient times when I went to school?
Does it count if I did that TWICE?
 Just when this aura of this movie couldn’t get anymore legendary:
This is delicious.
Yes. Yes.
I killed my father and you don’t see me whining about it.
Okay that last one wasn’t really relevant, but still holy fuck.
I’m jealous of JCVD. Kylie is incredibly attractive, even today.
 I hope they bumped uglies with their costumes on. You know, for the fans. And the fan-fics.
EDIT: Mortal Kombat was originally designed to feature JCVD (yes that’s who Johnny Cage was meant to be). After that licensing deal fell through, Capcom makes a dumbass game to rival MK… starring a digitized JCVD. Funny that.
Yes it was planned it to be a game based on the movie Bloodsport. As Cage’s clothes & split-punch move are straight out of the movie. However, Van Damme dropped out, and the project eventually mutated into the MK we know today.
And its not as if Capcom was trying to rival MK or anything with SFTM: TG, as they were already doing great with the reg SFII series. This was just a movie tie-in game is all.
Anyway, i remember back in the day i got the idea for a digitized Street Fighter game using the movie’s characters long before i saw it happen in magazines. Kinda neat. I still think it was a good idea, its the execution that was kinda crappy though. The Arcade game looked visually impressive but the engine was pretty flawed.
“Rival” isn’t the best word but it looked the way it did specifically because of how popular MK was.
 I wonder if Raul Julia (Bison) knew about the affair and was about to snitch…(1:06)
