I went to my local Nickel Nickel today, with all the talk of SFIV, and just SF in general, I was in a really good mood for going back to the arcade, I beat my previous record on SFII Champion Edition (Look for CAM and CWH [CWH = Cammy was here or Cammy Will H*******n *=My last name] Oh, and Cammy wasn’t in there, it was all Ryu:rock:
I grew up with Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on the Dreamcast, and loved the heck out of that game, and I haven’t played it in years…but I realized, when I memorized Cammy’s, Guile’s, and Ryu’s combos… does it REALLY matter? I played my little brothers friend, and he PWNED ME! I was enraged!:annoy: I sat there, got to stage to, he wanted to play it with me, and he just came in and dominated, and he’s not even a fighting game fan! He just button mashed, and I was sitting there in amazment as the screen flashed random things all over the place.
I suppose the game was to fast for me, but I was practically feeling like I was watching a firework show, just seeing how fast it was, I don’t remember MvC2 on the DC, because most the time when I played it, I was button mashing myself… I sat there, did my best with Cammy, and still, had no hopes in winning. Eventually we took a walk to the SFII:CE machine and I set him straight, but still… Do you stand a better chance button mashing with the big characters, versus being a average/small sized characters and laying down the heat? I need a veterans help here…:annoy:
i wasn’t mashing though, that’s the problem, i took the time to learn combos and i get beat by the button masher, randomly pushing buttons isn’t outplaying some1
Irrelevant, you still got out played. And anyone who plays marvel can tell you that combos don’t mean shit unless you can actually land them, which apparently you can’t.
button masher? no sir, this is the wrong game.
though it is fun to do so lol.
but seriously, if you like to mash, go play mario party or melty blood act cadenza.
