it’s at the beginning of every character thread… just open ms word and copy and paste… then print… should take u like 5 minutes… it’s also in the training menu… just hit R1
i was hoping for a stylish graphical list with arrows and button shapes…
edit
they also use abcd where as i have no idea what they are since niether the game nor the instructions mentions those.
its
lk hk lp hp
This game is great but grabs feel… weird, I’m gonna go practice with Dai more
a=lp b=lk
c=hp d=hk
thanks i searched around a bit and found it out earlier.
i am starting to get used to it now but since i havent played anybody properly i cant really tell how it should be played yet.
i hope this gets patched soon.
Nah I wont say that it’s bad at all, just a really big learning curve for some. For the online play I’m behind a lynksis basic model so before I can crap on the netcode I’d have to crap on myself for the crappy/lowend equipment. My only beef is the roster, but hey theres always hoping DLC (I’d pay a few bucks here and there if they were to go that route to get Rock and Tizok)
just wait for xiii. xii aint getting no new charactes, besides having characters as a dlc in a fighter is a nono imo.
A nono? nah… it’s possible if they’re data was already on the disc in some way (i.e Vader and Yoda being availible for both systems via dlc in SCIV) but as far as it goes for strictly 2D fighters yeah were kind of in a bind…
this isnt bad at all. specially good for newbs like me.
i dont like everybody saying 13 will be good.
i dont think ti will be much better than this one.
the game that will be good is the game AFTER the game with the finsihed redrawn roster.
KOF XII can be good for newbies but as far KOF goes it won’t teach you shit, if you wanna learn KOF get on GGPO/2DF or wait until XIII because XII is definitely a nigh good example, btw KOF XIII is going to have to completely eclipse XII in order to make up for lost profit, it’s off to a slow start but I’ll give SNK the benefit of the doubt… for now
honestly there is nothing wrong with xii in terms of them creating a brand new system… they have done so 5 times now since the initial 94… once for 97 …evolved a little in 98, once for 99 …evolved in 2k and greatly evolved in 2k1, once for 2k2, once for 2k3 …evolved from a shitty new system to the most awesome system kof has had yet in XI, and now again in XII…
so why do most kof players hate it? it’s simple… all the changes ever made to kof were only sub-systems… a 98 player can still play 2k2 or even xi… u don’t HAVE to use ‘strikers’, ‘bc’ or ‘tag’ to be able to play other kofs… sure u will most likely get killed by good players for not knowing how to use ‘the feature’ tool… but at least at casual level u r still playing the same old kof… u know what’s what… grabs r instant, iori owns etc… lol…
but now kof12 is actually a brand new ‘system’ and by no mean it’s a sub-system… don’t get the wrong idea… most characters and their gameplay styles r still the same… and the games basic movement and b&bs to some extent r still the same… so this IS still KOF… it’s not shitty fighter 4 or anything… it’s just thw whole new system makes u play differently… as for me it took me atleast a month to force it out of my muscle memory to stop thinking that ‘fucking yes …eat instant throw bitch!’ only to keep getting counter hit out of it… also now new C+Ds r different… so a whole new kof is what turns people off…
personally i really love how awesome CCs are besides when online retards r whoring it without even doing a setup and how cool the clash system is… but i really hate the b+C+D counter… in old kofs u had to waste a dm to do that… so i think for XIII they should bring back 3 DMs like before…
I wouldn’t say at this point who lost money on the whole deal. Very tough to say.
It’s a good game, but at this point I’m not sure how anyone can convince themselves that it’s not just dead in the water.
On the left, you have SF4 which takes up the mainstream attention. On the right, you have BB which grabs all the gg/speed game attention.
On the horizon you have Tekken 6, which covers just about everything else.
Where does KOF fit into things? It could have been a 3S kind of game, ignored at first, but with growing interest in it as hype got built up. Then bad online hit. The extent of how incomplete the game is was realized…and it’s nothing but shit talk about the game.
We play KOF and especially 12 in the local group around here. In the past 2 months we’ve had a bunch of new people come into the group for games and every single time, they’ve said, “kof12? I heard it was crap.” Now, a few have picked it up and learned the basics, but what’s the point when you realize you’re learning a game that’s already dead?
If there is a KOF13…I don’t know if I’m going to bother. My consumer loyalty for that franchise has been trashed.
Sorry for the rant as it is. I was really looking forward to this game getting the support it needed from SNK to make KOF a 1st tier fighter and the whole thing has let me down.
Good point , anyway I still have my sights set on XIII even though I didn’t quit on XII yet…
@Dadoji Kage, I fail to see how you could let one game (XII at that) set the standard for the whole series for ya, T’is a damn shame because XII is hardly what any of us wished for (newbies and hardcore fans alike), most of us KOF old heads are just chilling until XIII comes out because (up to this point) for every mediocre/incomplete/buggy KOF game there has been there was a much (much) better KOF game to take it’s place (see KOF 2003 to XI for reference)
Everything feels pretty right in this game for me. Throws make sense, command grabs work like they should, pokes and block strings are great sources of pressure, balance is pretty incredible. Despite the few bugs that were fixed by the patch, everything in terms of gameplay is pretty solid. I like the simplistic looks of the menus, I like the new system, and I think the roster is great.
People complain too much. This game is up there with 98/2002 for me. I also think it’s the best looking 2D fighter since 3S.
Most of all I don’t catch myself saying “Fuck that’s broken!!!” which in SF4 that’s all I seem to say.
Why shouldn’t companies be punished for putting out bad product? KOF12 is a good game, but it’s very very bad product.
That I can agree with… SNKP practically stepped on every crack in the sidewalk to make sure this game would fold, despite it being a good game they failed to take all the necessary precautions to make sure it’d stay that way…
that sounds about right.
although if online worked it would probably be forgiven every other fault.
just chekcing in…so I’m guessing by the responses that the patch isn’t done yet?
