COMPLETELY DISREGARDING whether or not Zangief is gay as well as completely disregarding certain unofficial plot guides, the truth is that Zangief’s CFJ ending directly contradicts his official dislike of beautiful young women (a dislike which IS now also officially listed in English thanks to the English version of Street Fighter Eternal). Therefore, we can conclude that either Zangief’s CFJ ending shouldn’t count for anything resembling canon or officialness (not to knock Udon, but in the end, they designed the ending and they aren’t Capcom) or those “almost naked women” with him in that ending are actually men.
As for the actual question of Zangief being gay, that’s going to have to be looked into since the source that Saiki gave for it apparently doesn’t say it after all. shakes head
Poison being a man is well-documented in All About Capcom. You don’t even have to know how to read Japanese to be able to identify the symbol for ‘male’ in ‘her’ bio.
So Bison fought Gill? Ryu fought with Talbain?
You just said yourself there was no “official word” that CFE is not canon (which it clearly isn’t, but that’s beside the point) and then you go ahead and try to use Zangief’s ending from CFE to prove that he isn’t gay…
Am I the only one that sees the horrible flaws in your logic?
[quote=Capcom of Japan] “All Dream Match games are non-canon”
[quote]
Now what do you have to say about that?
Alright then explain to me why Zangief officialy hates beatiful/attractive/good looking women, but yet is seen with a bunch of attractive women there. Explain that to me please.
Poison’s probably still a man. Some trusted person at another board went to work on some game for Capcom and that was one of the first questions he asked, and the wording of her being a ‘her’ in All About Capcom is done in a very mocking sarcastic way towards Capcom of America.
That (hates beatiful/attractive/good looking women) was during the comunist USSR times. now as Russia is capitalist and doing well again Znagief gone strait too and became a heterosexual like most of us!
or let’s ask Udon, why they made that kind of ending!
Yeah, I always figured Poison’s sexuality was a big screw you to CoA, and if Poison did get a sex change I guess Poison would of had a Female symbol in the bio.
Yet another thing I forgot to ask about while talking with CoJ (I remember asking about SF’s relation to RS, Makoto and Ryu, events of SF prior to SF1, and a whole bunch of other stuff, mostly unanswered stuff I could think of off the top of my head)
Wow, Zangief being a Communist mysogenist would be almost as bizarre/cool (depending on how you look at it) as him being gay. Although… I doubt it’s the case since he was nice enough to Rainbow Mika (who contrary to popular belief isn’t supposed to be that young). Mysogenism that only applies to beautiful young women even for USSR Russia seems kinda… odd.
It basicly boiled down to that it did/could take place in the SF Universe however the creator didnt want anyone thinking that RS could only be successful because of its relation to SF, so Sakura was removed, and then it was decided that Project Justice canonly (?) took place in 2000, thus RS takes place in 1999 one year before Thrid Strike.
So it was basicly the creator of the series didnt want SF in RS, but didnt mind if RS took place in the SF canon. The creator also wasnt opposed to the idea of a RSvsSF game, however he wanted to do Project Justice 2 before that ever happend, neither of which happend obviously.
(Its funny how some of the most obvious crossover stuff never happend, ie Street Fighter Vs Darkstalkers, Street Fighter vs Rival Schools, Samurai Showdown vs Last Blade, etc, rather then these crazy All Stars games that Capcom and SNK are doing now, ie its not like they’re starting nice and small and working to something big like X-Men Vs Street Fighter to Marvel Vs Capcom 2)
 That is soooo true. Except Eagles hair is slightly different… There have been a lot of people saying Eagle was in MI5. Maybe he switched to Interpol
No, Joe’s a 24 year old homeless guy who lives out of box cars and hopes to one day become a champion fighter/martial artist.
Eagle’s a gay English bouncer/bodyguard.
Those are the facts. Plus, they’re just funnier.
Yea, I know it can’t be Cracker Jack, b/c even beyond the Shadaloo thing, CJ is Arika’s character, not Capcom’s.
As for Eagle, I wish I could make it that the bouncer thing is cover for him being M16 or Interpol, and that he was tracking Cammy to get infor on Shadaloo. That’d be a great storyline. :pleased:
