It only says that they based Codyâs moves on Joeâs. They donât look too alike, so by that logic, you could say that Remy and Guile are the same person too.

I donât think there is any confirmation anywhere, just speculation built on the (japanese) stereotype that he looks gay. i.e. Itâs more a theory than a fact, though there is good reason to assume it. Same with Eagle if Iâm not mistaken.
Oh, and there are no quotes âexplicitly outingâ either of them. At most, a few innuendos.

No, when I asked Capcom about why do the things they did with Zangief, Eagle, and Poison, they said it was to just add an intresting dynamic to their character (although Poisonâs reason is a bit more complex then that)
And EVERY single time, someone who finds out this news, about these chars, EVERY time they feel the need to make a such a big deal about it, ie âAW NO WAY MAN NOBODY IN SF CAN BE GAY AGHH!!â and for the most part its cause they like the character(s) and then feel threatened that they themselves could possibly be gay or whatever, so they just deny the truth about the characters.
Zangief and Eagle being gay dosnt affect me being able to enjoy playing with them, mostly cause I dont like either one of them, although Poison through me for a loop, like I always thought Poison was attractive and âsheâ still is however I defenitly view her in a diffrient light now.l
As far as official documents go, there is NO confirmation that either Zangief or Eagle are gay. This is a FACT. If you bothered to read my post however, you would notice that I mentioned it is INDICATED that they are likely to be gay. I said all this to clear up any problems. Those that do not like the idea of them being gay characters can sleep easy knowing it is not a stated fact. Those that can accept it can look into the obvious hints towards their sexuality.
I see the angle you are using, but to generalise so much is just stupid. Many people may not accept a character being gay for other reasons like it not seeming to fit their perception of the character. Others may want more proof. I strongly think Eagle is gay though I am not convinced with Zangief. It doesnât mean I fancy Zangief at all. I think with most people it has little to do with them secretly being attracted to these characters.

I might be able to see where someone wouldnt think Zangief would be gay but Eagle is without a doubt gay, I mean for one heâs Freddy Mercury with blonde hair, but its his quotes in CvS2 that help seal the deal, like with Morrigan, he says âYour charms will not work on a man like meâ when succubus are supposed to be able to seduce ANY (straight) man. Then thereâs the one where he admires how good looking Rock Howard is, and lets not forget Eagle spinning around with Zangief, which didnt make Zangief look very straight, and only brought more proof to the fact that he was gay.

I dont know if its in the American version of the game, cause I know Capcom of America removed all Eagleâs âgayâ quotes, although the intro animation is something that could of slipped past them.
Man, if were working on a game for Capcom of Japan, Iâd defenitly translate it to English while its still in development, and tell CoA if they wanted to publish the game they could NOT make ANY changes to it, and if they couldnt agree to that, Id just give it to another US publisher that could agree to those terms, although I think that would invovle a breach of contract or something like that or else CoJ would most likely do that, ie I dont think anyone but CoA can publish CoJâs games, and I do know that CoA decides what CoJ games get published in the US.
Seriously, someone plz show me some official written proof that Zangief is gay. Itâs not stated in any âAll Aboutâ books or mooks. Thatâs my only real beef with the Plot Guide. Saikiâs cool and all, but his word isnât enough.

I donât care what anyone says, Poison was never a guy. Capcom America changed the sprite to a guy because Nintendo didnât want girls getting beat up in a videogame. The bullshit just evolved from there.
Until I see it in an Official Capcom artbook or all about book, in English, or until I learn Japanese and read it myself, I will never believe it.
