that might not actually be true. but after low forward hit confirm ROLLBACK into blocking for the 500th time, it wears on your soul
ggpo delay pshaw. if you have to to make the connection work I guess. I’ll take occasional teleports and fake hit confirms and jitters over not being able to deal with any part of a competent Dudley’s game. stop his mixups on your wakeup with 2f delay? good luck. not just Dudley either.
Is it tin-hattish to suggest IG have actually listened to the whiners, and rebalanced (or at least, screwed Chun, so to speak) 3s on the sly?
Actually, if the guy likes a good grapple, try Alex Stun Gun, cuz that shit just got way more tricky to evade with all the delay and horrible inputs
Cruel waste of 1200msp, unless they completely re-do it, and offer us all a free download.
I will never play chun, I only started 3s because of Hugo (I am a André the giant fan and I played final fight a lot as a kid). I am also a character loyalist too. so either way I am going to always roll. Hugo.
it’s a very hard matchup! this matchup is extremely in akumas favor, only thing you have in your favor is akuma has no health. in my experience when fighting akuma the key is to not let him knock you down. the second he knocks you down you have to predict exactly what akuma is going to do you on wakeup. do not use SA1 because akuma normal and regular grab have more priority then your Sa1. every move akuma does will know you down to block a lot, predict every move and parry punish! parrying into SPD will only work 40% of the time since it seems to wiff a lot with akuma or if akuma mashes DP it will flat out beat you SPD. one key to beating most akumas is having your red parry skills down after tatsu. most akumas when they do crouching med kick into tatu will mash dp soon after, if you play a smart one he will begin to mix it up and try to throw you off by baiting you. in this matchup it’s extremely in akumas favor since he had more options on offence against you but as soon at you get a couple of hits on him it’s basically over. but the key thing is not to let akuma knock you down and have your red parry down. akuma has no answer for red parrys
most likely because ken has over 20+ ways to confirm into SA3. SA3 has a short meter build and can be stacked in 3 times, need I go on?
oh yeah and this video
Of course, he’s a really strong character. But it’s pretty strange that people always mention Ken when it comes to this type of discussion and not other strong characters like Yang or Makoto.
I don’t know much about 3s, but I do know what it feels like to lose against someone who should actually be a worse player than me.
Every time it comes down to me not adjusting. If you approach these guys the way you would approach a match with someone of your level or higher, they will constantly surprise you with things that are technically stupid, but work if you’re not prepared. If you change your play style you should be able to win, if you absolutely KNOW you’re better.
Characters can make a difference, but a good Hawk will beat a bad Honda, just as I’m sure a good Hugo will beat a bad Chun…?
Yang only needs EX meter to be scary, though.
And he has high, low, AND command throw mixups.
And he can rack up stun very quickly, almost as fast as Makoto.
He’s one of the best rushdown characters in the game. He does have a bad matchup in Ken, I’ll give you that, but he can go even with Yun and on good days dominate Chun. That’s a pretty good trade, if you ask me.
