Is Gambit used in High-Tier play?

I like Gambit, but I don’t think he does well in professional play/tournaments.

I am currently using a team of Gambit/Cyke/Spiral. I found a nice ground combo with Spiral in the archives.

Anyway, got some advice on how to utilize my team? Can I sword-spam with Spiral in this team?

No, he’s too limited. I believe JustinK uses Gambit-A/Morrigan-B/Sonson-Y, JWong uses Gambit-A/Morrigan-B/Cyke-B, and there’s some other players here and there who make Gambit look decent.

Why isn’t this in the Gambit section?
