Is Dudley Black or Indian

I think Dudley is black.

This is a good read about black looking characters in anime.

OT, but that kid is going to have to pry off the women with a crowbar, just because of the way his eyes look.

My official pedobear radar is going off with that first comment.
For the record i’m sure the eyes have changed a bit,as babys eyes change several times in their first few years.

Nah, dude, my comment was because I have those exact same eyes and I have women hitting on me almost daily (annoying when you have a girlfriend, honestly), despite pasty whiteness.

I get what your trying to say and all
you just said it in a really creepy way.
Also while i know i am the best looking white guy around here i dont go throwing it around.
I dont want to kill the hopes of the others:(

So… People keep on mentioning the word “black”. Can someone explain to me how this word is being used here?

So afer 7 pages, what is he?

I wouldnt even bring accent into the arguement… cause youll speak native to where your from. He still has perfect straight gelled hair with the curly-q moustache which imo are dead giveaways to typical indian-british man

Well pretty much everything points to black by way of artists style(Elena also having straight hair/blue eyes). There are a couple people however who either aren’t reading the thread, or are just trolling at this point who continue with the Indian/desi arguement.

Re-posting because people still don’t get it.

2nd’d

he is a caricature of the british indian genteel

I believe it is same for me to assume that nobody is able to answer my question.

He is British. We’re discussing what racial background he’s from, British is his nationality.

Black as in of African descent.

I Elena Black or Indian?

Its hard to tell u_u

-Elena is meant to be from Kenya. Now, historically there are a LOT of Indians in Kenya- check this link. She hails from Nairobi- one of the cities with the highest Indian populance!
-Elena has fairly light skin and straight hair for somebody who is ethnically African, and her features certainly look more Indian than black.
-She’s a princess- but is this of Indian origin or native? According to her story she’s in the streetfighter tournaments to make friends. Isn’t this something more likely to have come as a product of a typically restrictive Indian upbringing?
-Elena practises Capoiera. This is a Brazillian art. Brazil was a colony of Portugal until it gained independence. There is a high population of Portugese in India (Goa) as well as South Africa (not that far from Kenya). Maybe this is how she knows the style??

PLOT TWIST!

The Electrifying One just dropped knowledge on this thread, Elena will never be the same again.

You’re way overanalyzing this shit. She’s black. Japan rarely draws black women with black features in anime. As for the capoeira thing, they probably just weren’t educated on where it originated. I think for Japan, black = black regardless of whether you’re from South America, Africa, the Caribbean, the west indies, etc.

Same reason why Sean throws a basketball even though he’s from Brazil where they play a lot more soccer.

this is my favorite post in this thread

How the hell did this thread reach 8 pages?

How the hell did anyone take my Elena post seriously?

Dudley is black. This has been established beyond doubt.

Seriously, if The character designer from NG posted here saying Dudley is black, linking a screenshot of a prototype alt. Outfit of him in a black panthers t-shirt, along with concept art with ‘black British boxer’ at the top people would still post stuff like ‘I think he’s half Egyptian with a mother who’s half Indian maybe’. He’s black, close thread.

lol i love when people treat fictional characters as if they were real people. reminds me of CBR
