a good one i learned with cable is to waist a super right before u max u super bar with him with a AHVB might get them off guard or hit a asets then 3 AHBV left yup died toons there be
sounds like u up getting put up agenst pros / texas pros or those who saw some pro luegea teams extremly good if u got the skill ,don’t even need ifanites just fast harder hitting combos made to get peeps unfocuses though speed
To this day i still mash up on blocked AHVBs, to get the beam over their head so it’s not hitting them, just to see if someone will fall for it and stick out anything… You’d be suprised at the amount of times Ive hit people with it, from scrubs to almost pros.
cable is defiantly not a cheap player in my opinion i pick him all the time and hes actually my favorite player in the game. in my opinion the better a cable player gets the less he has to rely on some of the easier exploits to get wins with him but ive only been playing for about a year now so i still got alot to learn about the game

What I do is…and let me know where I can improve:
Shoot the gun 4 times, call Dr. Doom + toss a short grenade. I keep doing that until they figure out how to get out.
Sometimes I’ll mix it up and super jump, shoot a bullet and if they superjump and attack then they get hit and you super them up there…if they block then we’ll both land and it just starts all over again with them on the other side of the screen.
This strategy works but not against super good Magnetos. I can beat middle level Magnetos with this strategy though.
I know how to wave dash and I use that too to keep magneto storm and sentinel away from me.
I watched some guy play team scrub and he’d superjump with Cable and do super jump light punch viper beams a lot in the air. He had the drones on the screen as well. I thought that was a pretty good zoning tactic. It looked so random but it worked. I remember thinking, “why would you do a lot of light punch viper beams in the air??? Oh ok. That’s why”
Fatal you know i think cable is cheap as hell but thats not gonna stop people from using him so i get my mag/sent/im ready for that action and if it gets to hectic you already know my msp is ready, your getting better though keep it up.
Yup cable is a cheap ho bag. Always has been. Thats why he is usually the go-to guy for both newbs looking for that easy win, and ruthless veterans out for blood.

i agree with graveyard, when i first started playing online i picked mags for cool combos, but cable is just plain FUN. i love catching blackhearts jump spamming demons with a bullet cancel into AHVB and seeing them ragequit. it gets me so pumped >=]
I only ever pick cable when i’m tired+annoyed of someone else’s constant spam, and just don’t give a crap about sportsmenship of any kind. Which does not happen often, i’d rather just stop playing for a while and take a break than resort to cable’s sleaze, even if i feel justified in doing so…
I’m glad the stigma still surrounds the character even after all this time, players rightfully should feel a little guilty for picking him.
As said, i’ve way more respect for mags or storm players. All that stuff i’ve seen good players do is way more impressive, and requires a lot more skill. Not just anyone can pick them up and be effective.
Whereas even a experienced veteran can find himself tested if facing only a moderately skilled player who knows how to spam with cable+etc just right.

cable isnt sleazy, cable is awesome. pulling an AHVBx3 off is badass, watching the way their body falls almost in slow motion
I’ve been playing Cable for close to six years now, and I can say that he is a BIT cheap, but he loses pretty bad to good Magnus/Storm.
I just like to play Storm/Sent/Cable to build meter with Storm (and maybe do the 80% Storm/Sent DHC if I get it in) then have Cable come in and do his thing.

I tip my hat to those good mag & storm players out there, now THAT is awesome. At least when they whoop my ass i know they earned every bit of it with the dedication & time required to learn his stuff. I can’t complain.
AHVBx3? Even a newb with some training can be made to pull that off. I’m not impressed.
