Ironman in depth

do any of use the sjc’ing setups for the infinite.

i.e. c.lk, c.mp SJC sj.lp sj.hp land infinite

i find it way to hard, either the sjc doesnt happen or it does to late

if you don’t mind reseting, you can sj.lk addf (x) U+HP

I only use that setup for IM. Once you get the timing for the sjxx (and also get over the foreign execution), it’s really easy.

you have that a little wrong, but tech corrected it. Neway, i used to do that one exclusivly, but in the quest for more damage, i went other routes. still do it on occassion though, just to keep it real. Like the others said though, its easy, u just have to get used to cancelling that sj. It took me a while to actually get that down. They way it got through to me to think how to do it was, to try it like i was doing the magneto ROM infinite. After i took that mindset, bam i got that shit quick. looking at it now, u might want to let the stick go into neutral for like a quick second and then hit down up after the c.mp Thats how i get it going now, that i actually know whats going on. It is best to learn it and all the other setups too, you never know what a given situation will call for. Its always best to be prepared for anything. Peace

im bout to pick up marvel again and i think i might pick the iron guy back up after retiring that played biatch…i always favored the im/sent/cap team like 360 said due to its versatility…

i feel that team gives him the best shot at winning real matches against real god tiers…i actually play with drones too btw…

one fast fly from IM is good enough to chunk over half a life…and thats if you dont hit them with the little predictable up+rh air combo reset…if they dont block that one time you get ur fast fly…then they are in need of getting their chara out of the game atm unless its sent. and lord knows you BETTER NOT tag in and miss against IM or gg

also, people love calling their assists out on IM because like 90% of IM teams…he has a hard time really hurting assists…not with the team mentioned…just a simple rh+cap, sj.whip ad/b will make them think twice about just mashing the assist button when they get nervous. wut makes that hard to do imo tho is smartbombs…most people feel like they can take advantage of u cuz you threw some sb’s. so they try to hurt you via call their assist out…and that is where capcom comes in handy.

i believe this team might be the IM team that you can fight high lvl with against high lvl competition. i feel like with this team magneto gets completely hosed due to all his normals losing and having to deal with drones+IM’s normals or capcom blast. sentinel runs the risk of being out ff’ed or infinited to friggin death or near it. the last two…cable and storm are some friggin problems but once i get my stick, i’ll b able to post some strats against them…360, tell me how u rock da team

thanks tech, yeah the tilt sticks were a little off, but i am also a little rusty with my combos. I had not been playing so much in the last few weeks. i would be down to play sometime after a tourney, i would just need to know in advance if it was going to go down or not, hell, i dont even mind just making a trip up there to play casuals on console if it would be for a while. dood, fuckin IM/SENT/CAPCOM is a sick ass team man. you don’t even need the infinite with that team. i fucked around with it at the arcade today, capcom really fills that gap IM has when competing.

iron man is godlike and im glad you like im/sent/cap its one of my favorite teams against storm/sent teams. i have alot of shit with that team if you got a good sent than playing im should be hell fun on that team

IM/sent/capcom seems so wierd though !

strangely enough, one of my best IM teams is strider/im/sent, which isn’t even that good… if you have a solid strider, that team rapes magnetos for free.

im/sent fucks shit up though

I just don’t like capcom because he knocks the opponent away, I want to stay close.

hell, you could just. c.lk+cap, c.mp xx PC xx HSF and it does a shitload of dirt

i’m not too sure, but i THINK you can juggle this combo:

c.lk+cap, s.mp xx HP Repulsar blast, juggle s.lk, s.hk /\ etc

[c.lk+cap, s.mp, cap hits, s.hk] is a little damage boost to any normal combo you’d do (magneto sized characters or biger)

or you could be fancy and
c.lk, c.mp, s.hk+cap, wait for cap to hit, U+hp, adf, U+HP, UNFLY combo to ground (magneto sized characters or bigger)

or cap, launch, one rep of all fierce infinite = woW

FS animation, cap, rectangle jump and crossup, infinite.

man, this team is just too good. its kinda like a mini-santhrax its just that you can’t hailstorm the shit out of someone

EDIT: not really B&B combos but work on most mag size characters.

i know this isn’t is fancy as the stuff you posted…but i kinda like to do this

launch (or land random sj.lk), sj.up+fp, f.lp+cap, f.fwd+fp, long smarts, knee drop and wavedash twice…u got super advantage on them and ur bak in they face

more than likely they will mash assist, and when u know this, u uck them up =)

ppl try and rush me down when i have ironman on point, but with capcom assist they think twice, and if they stay full screen away i can chip dem. pure pressure for the person ur playin.

theres gotta be some nice fly comboes with ironman and capcom

like the regular fly infinite but while ur in flight mode call capcom and do lk hp, capcom assist hits and u fly upward and get off another lk hp unibeam ?

i was playing storm/ironman/capcom cuz my storm is better than my sentinel and i like how that worked as well

since all IM combos usually rely on high amount of hits, its really only beneficial to have CAPCOM come out before 10 hits that way you get full damage and more likely for a 100% combo. try the combos i listed. if you call commando in the air, you’re either

a) more likely above 10 hits
b) likely to blow your opponent far from IM.

your combos nicer than mine BUT the reason i do not go for those type of combos with capcom is because I like utilizing the blast to gain better position and to lock their position in. if you try the combo i am talking about, 90% of the time, long smart bombs do not touch them directly and fall right inbetween them. so one smartbomb behind them, and in front, and by the time the smartbombs block their paths, im is in their face and capcom can be used again…now if they get touched they die. of course if you hit them on the ground you go for regular ol infinite though…why not with sentinel capcom behind you lol.

i also like this setup because it seems like you can damage assist pretty good this way. most of the time when you get in some1’s face an assist is going to come flying out =) then you get your launch and call cap punishing stuff…chunk a good 1/4 or 1/3 off an assist. i dunno, i juss was wondering how other people like this setup that play this team. i think its great =) i wish i could get a setup like this going for magnus :rofl:

edit: by the way, tidbit of ironman knowledge for those who dont know. IM shouldn’t ever get hit by sentinel’s unblockable coming in…knee dive xx fly and keep dashing up lol more IM great ness =)

yea, i noticed that the unblockable is pretty easy to hit on him (or maybe its just me)

dont have a stick at the moment so i can’t test, but does anybody know of a combo with sentinel/cap that dhc’s into the proton cannon from harddrive supa?
