Iron Tager Knowledge Dump

I picked up BB yesterday and immediately picked out Iron Tager as the one i would dedicate all my time into playing. He’s the zangief of BB which works out perfectly for me. Unfortunately I have nothing in terms of knowing how to actually play him and seeing as how he doesn’t have a thread to help me, I’m gonna start it up. So here’s what i figured out so far:

1: If you have ever played Zangief, this character should feel similar. Slow, big damage, huge throw and probably the most useful green hand ever conceived. Its called the Sledge Hammer in this game. From what i can tell it eats projectiles like its cool, it moves you quickly across the screen (med. strike), and stuns them if it hits. I like to follow it up with a crouching medium to a crouching hard, then an atomic collider. it takes out an irresponsible chunk life for such a simple combo.

2: Some sage advice from the Zangief thread: your goal is NOT to throw them, your goal is to punish them for avoiding the throws. (Credit to Chosen_One23 for changing the way i play)

3: Whoah buddy, have you heard his theme song? Freakin’ awesome! Not really a strategy so much as a statement. Or wait! Since its so full of win, listen to it before you play, maybe some of it will rub off on you.

So thats as far as i got in one day. Sorry I’ve only learned so little, but in the end I hope this little bit helps somebody, and I hope a little info from you can help me. All you Iron Tager players out there, stay heavy.

this thread has potential

http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=196389 , but nice try

And Tager players should listen to you over Mike Z because?..fuck you don’t even know the correct notation. “C. Medium?”

GTFO waste of forum bandwidth

 no need to berate him. You really think the OP made this thread to say that he knows more than Mike Z?

Would you mind linking to the post where you found this quote from, or elaborating on it further? I’ve never thought about playing grappler characters that way, but then again, I’ve never picked up a grappler seriously.
