Iron man solo infinite set up

it goes like this : launch /\ d.hp, addf, lk,lk, u.hp… how come i can’t seem to land the second lk? and for this set up, after launch, u.hp, addf, lp, up… come come the hp wiffs?

for mei use that setup or…

launch, neutral hp, ad foward, lp, mp, u+HP

do i like to hold down or something?

if you do the d+HP you dont need to hold it. the key is doing the first lk as late as possible, doing this allows the opponent to drop down further. if it whifs, it means you did it too fast because the opponent is too high and you’re missing the attack

Why wouldnt you just use the n+fp setup? seems more reliable to me.

The only infinite setup off launcher I would recommend learning (besides the super jump–> infinite one I hear about) is launch, u+fp, a/d down, lp, u+fp, infinite.

This is good because if you go in with more than one air hit on standing opponent you get infinite setup without causing flying screen like you would with the other setups mentioned.

The u+fp, a/d down, lp, u+fp, infinite setup question:

I pull off all the mentioned hits and all, and then I put them into the infinite, but after the initial 4 hits to setup the infinite, the count starts over when I actually start the infinite. So I get a 4 hit air combo and then my 40-50 hits with the infinite. What am I doing wrong in the setup that doesn’t keep the count going?

you want to get that last U+HP before the infinite off as late as possible. the later you do it, the longer you have to jump up and start the infinite

I think the most stupid hard of doing solo inf. on IM is the fuckin’ Air dash. I’m not consistent!

nweiz, for the sake of… i know why you have difficulties doing the solo set up because you are used of magneto’s fast cancel after the DFairdash… in ironman’s solo set-up… there’s basically 3 of them… 1. launch, sj.forward or neutral HP, ad.df lk, mk, u.hp
2. launch, sj.uHP, ad.df lp, u.hp
3. launch, sj.d or dfHP, ad.df lk, mk, u.hp

for the timing… ask me in person… it’s too complicated to explain further…

i think this works everywhere but i was only messing with it in the corner.

c.LK-c.MP, fly, unfly, LP (land) j.LK-LP-LK-u+HP, inf

or

c.LK-c.MP, fly, unfly, LK (land), inf

depending on what characters you do it on you might wanna change what you do after the unfly LK/LP, like on sent… unfly, LK start with j.LK-LP-LK-u+HP to keep him high… or on people between cable and sent weight, unfly, j.LP-LK-LK-u+HP

(it works without unfly mode, as long as you’re doing fly,unfly cleanly without whiffed moves)

I always like using the throws to reset.

If you wanna get really fancy, and you wanna use iron man on point and throw some resets in, you can mix it up with crouching lk, crouching mk, sj addf d+fk, jlk, jmp, j u+fp infinite.

in regular wording, trip them, then triangle jump and catch them otg with the downward fierce kick into the infinite. noone ever, EVER sees it coming = P

but it’s not a reset. just a fancy pointless escapable combo. but CAN scare the shit out of your opponent.

you’re better going for a normal inf. setup combo and doing a real reset :slight_smile:

i was looking at ur first one and i waned to know if there were any other solo infinite set ups that us an air dash but not an Hp. i am used to using magneto and his 5 fierce is sj.hp ad/df hp and i do that fast but when i use iron man i do launch hp ad/df lk but i cancel the hp into the air dash so fast the hp doesnt even come out and i dont think i can untrain my self to not input it so fast.

oopps nevermind i dint relaize he ment forward the direction and not the kick lol i should have figured that out.
