Oh good point. I got so caught up in the “look” of the mandarian, I didn’t even consider the regional sensitivities involved with a Japanese guy playing the role of a Chinese character. In that case Chow Yun Fat would be a great choice as well as Donnie Yen.
Of course that would probably never happen since the Chinese government gets butt hurt so easily when their people are portrayed as villains in western movies and Hollywood isn’t about to alienate 1 billion moviegoers.
