Yeah kinda felt like it didn’t even tied up with the avengers. No cameos except with that funny one with banner. I was expecting GotG. Also I didn’t like the way they show the durability of the armors. Quantity over quality.

The Mandarin is a descendant of Genghis Khan.
Mongolians have a certain look and various renditions of Mandarin represent that. Some Mongolians have distinct middle eastern/South Asian qualities. I do admit Ben isn’t my first pick for the Mandarin but he is a very strong actor with a great history of playing various ethnic backgrounds.Hollywood truly hates Asian people though and Bruce Lee would not approve of this blasphemy. Hopefully Ben gets his character down right.
Ben Kingsley is HALF FUCKING INDIAN.
I pointed that out in a previous post. I don’t like him as the Mandarin and his voice in the trailers sounded hilarious at best. Like I said he’s a good actor so we will see what he brings to the table.
Also when I say Asian I mean not “South Asian” but yeah having Mongol ancestry grants some leniency.

Also, if there were any good asian actors that spoke English, you’d see a shitload more of them. Unfortunately asians in America don’t become actors, they become dentists, doctors, and dry cleaners. There are tons of great Asian actors who are fluent in English, but as you know like any other industry a lot depends on who you know.
Doesn’t matter because…
[details=Spoiler]…in the film, he plays a British stage actor paid by Killian to play “the Mandarin”, a fake terrorist threat that exists solely so that he can create demand for his Extremis powered super soldiers.

I won’t even lie I thought you were trolling for a second lol…very curious to see how this all turns out.
What is your opinion on the film? Is it better than the first two?

100% better.
Thursday is so far away. . . . GAAAAAAAHHHH!

Had mixed reactions about this sequel. One part had that macgyver moment.
Spoiler
I guess the only thing that bothered me was, given the events of IM2 and the Avengers, Stark could have called SHIELD for help and the whole thing could have been over a lot earlier/easier. lol
The ending does kinda do away with a few things from the first two IM movies too.

I’m on the same boat. I was saying “why the hell can’t he just call Cap or someone from shield/avengers to help him out” through out the movie.

I liked it better than the 1st two but there are some who think the past 2 are better.
I’m confused as to why IM 3 showed here a week before the US. I thought the US was supposed to be a week in advanced…
When every post in a movie thread has ‘spoiler’ on it, its better to just stop going until you see the movie. I want to remain in the dark (thanks for using spoilers though RT).
Just watched it, better than the other films by far despite some lapses of logic & inconsistency (for reasons already mentioned in the spoilers)

[details=Spoiler]Better than the first two.
On a related note, I agree with the comments about it being “Iron Man Rises”. You can feel some attempt at what Nolan did in the last 2 Batman films, and I mean that in a good way of course.[/details]

This goes for any superhero movie AND comic story really. Perhaps they’re busy, perhaps Fury’s got them elsewhere.
Why doesn’t Nightwing call Batman? Why doesn’t Hal call Barry/John/Guy/Kyle/Simon? Why doesn’t Spidey call Ghost Rider (based on movie rights ownership)?
Watched it, really enjoyed it, I laughed at every single joke. Robert Downing Jr and Sir Ben Kingsley are great. It’s definitely better than the 2nd movie, on par with the 1st.
Stay till the end of the credits for a little bonus scene
Marvel released another clip of the aerial sequence:
Spoiler - but it will get you hype!
Can’t wait to see how he pulls the whole thing off!
all i want to say is, i thought it was better then the first two and the avengers, but avengers 2 is going to be awesome anyways.
Holy shit at this quality cam I found on the net of Iron Man . Watching this movie tonite, I’m hype
where bruv?
bruvs dont let bruvs watch cam quality movies…:shake:
Tempted to give this a 6/10, I’ll go with 7/10.
Upgraded armor edit: Stop talking about Mandarin, too much dumb humor in this to make up for lack of action.
Lack of action? There’s more action in 3 than almost 1 and 2 combined.
I dislike movies where the viewer is smarter than the character playing a genius
Pepper’s fall, come on nobody thought she died, it didn’t help that they only lingered over the fall for about 2 seconds before cutting back to the action.
